Vanoss Pov:
I see Y/n walk out the door to the balcony from across the living room. She opens the glass sliding door and her H/l, H/c flows when the wind hits her. I see her take off the mask she wears around all the time minus when around certain people, and lays it on the floor of the balcony so it won't fall. Every kind of mission we have she wears a certain mask for. All of her masks are never bought, so she makes them all and it's crazy how scary they are. Sometimes even scaring our crew when she walks in suddenly.
But when she's at home she only wears a certain mask. It isn't scary but cute for her style. It's like a half version of the mask I wear sometimes, but it's a snowy owl mask, and she made it herself.
(Your mask)
But personally I think it's cute because of her eyes. When we go on missions she puts in colored contacts and they are scary as hell, and sometimes she forgets to take them out. She had one gold contact and one green contact in her eyes for our last mission, and she forgot to take them out. Although everyone else gets creeped out by them, personally I think they make her look adorable. Her natural eye color is Y/e/c, but with her contacts in, she looks even more beautiful than she already does.
I walk over to the balcony door and knock on the glass pane letting her know I was there. She turns her head enough for me to know she acknowledged I was there. It also was just enough for me to see the scar on her precious face, the same one I gave her the day I brought her into my squad, gang, family, all of the above. Nobody loves her more than me or Jon, but that story is for another time.
She turns her head toward me giving me an award-winning smile showing off her adorable dimples and outlining the scar across her face, lining her left eyebrow and down her cheek over her lip. It took a while to heal but she hates having the others see it because it's not the first scar she got. Over the course of time, she's gotten multiple scars from gunfights and fistfighting, she's one of our best assassins and athletes.
"Ev, you okay? You seem like you're a bit distracted."
"Yeah I'm fine, it's just that every time I look at that damn scar I feel guilty for doing that. It's all my fault."
"Evan, it wasn't your fa-"
"It'll always be my fault. Everything that happened was because of me. No one else, just me, only me. I don't care what anybody says. The only reason that we got into this mess in the first place was because I was reckless. I didn't trust you, I made you feel like an outsider...Just like when you first came here."
For once, I didn't hear her say anything. She's got one of the smartest mouths in the crew, but it's rare when she has nothing to say. It didn't help that when she was silent it meant that she was thinking, replaying, remembering. The last time that happened was when Mini tried to tell her that he liked her but she didn't know how to handle it. She ran away and we didn't hear from her for months. It didn't help that I did that a couple days earlier before that and she panicked.
