Two hours later, back at the two bases
Y/N Pov...
Well, one thing is for sure. I'm going to be falling asleep easily tonight. Not for the fact that I found out where my brother is but the fact that I now totally have Evan's trust. And the fact that he likes me makes it even better. Until I realize what while happen later on once the mission is complete. Frowning, I turn over onto my side since I was laying down on my couch in my room. I had finished up a game of siege since I was bored and just started to relax since its something I rarely do anymore.
From what I've learned about Evan and his crew is that they are very similar to my own. They act and treat each other like family even though they can get into fights. The toughest people seem to also be the ones who are the most protective and sensitive to threats to their family. Like Wildcat, Cartoonz, or Delirious. Vanoss especially since it's his family. He's grown with them for so long they are the only things that mean the most to him. With the exception of myself, I guess.
The only downside to Evan and I getting so close is that the mission is less than a week away from the original date. Yes, we've gone as far as admitting our feelings for each other, but that also will determine how Evan reacts when everything that has been planned out happens. Once everything is said and done will he stay or leave me? I can't tell if I hope for either of the two because I care about him so much. Like everyone in the crews, I care about all of them. Evan just happens to be one of my priorities, and not letting him see through my plans is a big one.
I just don't want him to back out of this. But I'm snapped out of my thoughts hearing someone knock on the door. Letting them come in I'm surprised to see that Hawkeye walked in, closing the door most of the way.
"Shadow you have someone who came to see you. Personally, I am not pleased with them being here-"
"Let them in Hawkeye, who is it anyways that makes you uncertain?" I asked, standing up and crossing my arms. "See for yourself." I hear her response as she walks out and allows the person inside. To my surprise, it's actually 407. Uncrossing my arms I see him look at me with surprise.
"What's that look for? Is there something wrong?" I ask the hearing him snicker, then laugh.
"It's just, it's kinda rare for someone as powerful as you to just leave their mask off. Especially when you leave it on when you're with everyone else. So why take it off and leave it off with me?" Fourzero says smiling while talking to me, walking over to the couch in the middle of my room. Sitting next to him, it made me feel some sort of energy that reminded me of someone as powerful as myself or Pheonix.
"I understand that, and I'm trying to be more open to others who aren't in my single crew. After all, we're all like a big family now right? Vanoss and I are almost watching over all of you to make sure that if you need something that you need help with that we can be there for you when you need it. Almost like a mom and dad look out for their kids when they need help. Except, some of you are older than me, and everyone still seems awkward with each other." I finish my sentence laughing at the last part since that was still very much true.
"Yeah, I know. When we all first met we all hated each other. None of us from Vanoss' crew even wanted to trust you. But now, everyone loves being with each other even if it's awkward, but it makes it easier since you and Evan have your little crush on each other." Scott says smirking at me causing me to blush a little. I can't help it, Evan has really helped me a lot. Not to mention we both admitted love to each other, but we can't tell everyone yet. It wouldn't be the right time to. At least not with the mission coming up in a few days.
Everyone was busy finalizing everything to prepare both mentally, and physically. Everyone was at the levels they needed to be at or they soared above their expected level, pleasing both me and Vanoss.
"I'll say this for certain though, you've especially surprised both Evan and myself. He had given me records of what everyone from his crew was capable. Both from what you have been able to do and what you are mentally capable of. I was very impressed by the level of progress you had made. Even though you were already very powerful you increased your abilities and skills by over 40%."
"I hadn't realized I increased by that much. Even I'm impressed with myself. But at the same time, I don't like how much I increased by."
"Well you should be, you beat every training sequence we had on the main servers, and on some special high tier servers that we had Kelly program for her training. I see no reason why you should be disappointed with how much your ability levels increased by. Could you explain for me?"
Scott takes a breath before sitting back further into the couch, slouching slightly and crossing one of his legs over the other. "I was already too strong and as powerful as it is. My strength would always end up breaking something in my room or in the kitchen or breaking some of the gaming equipment that we have over at my base. Well Vanoss', we all happen to live there." Scott says looking at me with a nervous look, then continuing.
"But enough about them... I was actually hoping to talk about some personal stuff with you," the brunette says while fidgetting in his seat. "Such as what?" I reply.
"I want to see if you'd be able to look into my memories. I don't remember anything before I joined the BBS. Can you see if you can recover those memories?"
Hey I know it's been literally forever since I've posted. Stress, family stuff, and a lot of things for school got in the way and I never got the chance to post what I wanted. So its a bit shorter than what I did before and I'm leaving that on a cliffhanger! I hope you guys still like this story even if it's not the best cause I'm trying. Love you and peace
