Chapter 18 - Escape

Lucy P.O.V
"Open gate of the Lion, Loke!" The end of the key brightened up and then the light faded away. Right now I was in a cage, a magic sealing cage. At least they left me with my keys. I've been trying to summon my spirits or go back to a Star Dress, but so far no luck. When I was shoved into this cage my Star Dress faded away and I transformed back to my normal clothes. I knew that nothing was going to work but it's better to fail trying than not trying at all.

"Princess, your Fleuve d'etoiles." Virgo summoned herself outside of the cell and used the Fleuve d'etoiles to coil itself around the cell and pulled the bars open.
"Thank you Virgo. I thought that I'll be stuck in there."
"Punishment princess?"
"No."
With that Virgo left the Fleuve d'etoiles on the floor.
"Goodbye princess." She bowed and left to go the the spitit world. I picked up the Fleuve d'etoiles and tried to find my way out of this labyrinth.

Mavis P.O.V
"I am her younger twin sister." The Unknown, real name Maya Agelta stated. My eyes widened, I knew it'll be something like family, but for it to be a twin! That left me surprised.
"Interesting."
"So is your lover Zeref?"
"Yes. It is."
"Is that enough information exchanged?"
"Not as much as I'll like but it'll do. Now let the battle begin!" I summoned Fairy Tail. Or at least an illusion of it.
"I'm all fired up now!" Illusion-Natsu grinned his fists lighted on fire.
"Flame brain, I bet that I can bet this loser way before you." Illusion-Gray smirked.
"What did you say ice princess?" Illusion-Natsu bumped his forehead against Illusion-Gray's.
"You heard ash for brains."
"Boys, no fighting! We all know that I'll defeat her before the both of you." Illusion-Erza smiled, stars in her eyes.

"My children! Let's show our enemy what Fairy Tail is made of!" Illusion-Makarov shouted.
"Erza, Gray, Levy, Lucy, Gajeel, Jet, Droy, Max, Exceeds, Laxus, Juvia, Mira, Elfman and Cana stay back." I commanded my illusions they nodded and stayed by my sides.
"You guys will have a special job. When I leave with Lucy, I want you all to go downstairs and....." I whispered to them.
"Very realistic illusions Mavis, they even have the same personality as the original." Maya smirked.
"But illusions are no more than illusions. They can easily be defeated." Maya summoned a sword in her hand. Requip. Maya swung her sword at my illusions and they easily deflected the attack.
"What?! How is this possible!?!" Maya stepped back in surprise and I smirked.
"My illusions are much more than simple illusions. I have improved my magic so it's more similar to a copy of the person. You can even feel their magical energy."
"Now this is getting exciting."

I heard someone's footsteps behind me, it was so light and barley audible. They were sneaking around, but who was it? A friend or foe? I then felt celestial magical energy. It must be the real Lucy, since my illusion of Lucy is right next to me. So it's a friend, that's good. I made sure that Maya wasn't looking and quickly made an illusion of myself. I nodded to my illusion and it nodded back and walked to Lucy. Now, the plan was set into motion.

Lucy P.O.V
I saw Mavis and The Unknown fighting. I did my best to sneak past them so I can get out. I might distract Mavis or make things worse for her in this fight. I turned around a corner and walked down the hallway and about was to turn to another corner.
"Lucy!" I felt a tap on my shoulder. I was about to scream but a hand to quickly clapped over my mouth.
"Be quiet! Do you want Maya to hear us?" I looked up and saw Mavis talking to me. I still heard the fight between Mavis and The Unknown but I can see Mavis in front of me.
"Are you an illusion or the real Mavis?" I whispered.
"Illusion."

"Who is Maya?"
"Oh, that's The Unknown. Her real name is Maya Agelta and she is Bella's twin sister."
"What?!?! How do you even know this?"
"We talked, exchanged information. That was one of the first things she told me."
"What did you tell her?"
"Doesn't matter, none of it was important. Anyway I'm here to help you get out."
"Thanks Mavis."
