Chapter 24 - A New Magic?

Lucy P.O.V
The knife was about to stab through my heart then I heard people screamed my name.
"LUCY!!!!!!" I looked over in the direction and saw Natsu, Gray and Happy. They tried to save me. I saw Ladybug forced to watch my death, I don't want to die. Everyone was trying so hard to save me. What kind of friend or family member am I if I don't even try. It's as if time was frozen the knife just hovered above my heart. Everyone looked at me shocked, worried it's as if they weren't even moving.

Were they even moving? I started counting in my head I eventually reached 100. How was I still not dead? I'm not complaining. It's not like I want to die or anything but, I don't like my death acting like it's going to take forever, if I'm going to die I want it to be a quick death. Everyone was still frozen. I looked around. I tried to undo the restraints, they eventually slide off. I reached my hand up and down above the knife. I then tried to slide off the table with success. How come no one else was moving?

"Hey guys! I'm not dead! I'm alive I sort of escaped!" I shouted at them, still nothing. I then walked over to Ladybug. "I know you won't do this sort of prank right?" I asked her. No response, how was she not blinking? I then waved my hand in front of her face. "Hello? Ladybug, Marinette?" I whispered the last part. Nothing, I then punched her shoulder. Nothing?! No wince in pain, or a blink?! No I was getting freaked out! C-Could time be stopped? But how?! If so, how can I still move?! I don'twant to experience this again! Not that I really experienced it the first time. I walked back over to where I was almost killed and leaned against the table next to Maya then the window bursted open.

"What the- Zeref, Acnologia, Jackal and Bella?" I questioned and they all nodded.
"Seems like blondie- uh Lucy has a new magic!" Jackal grinned. 
"That does seem likely." Acnologia said.
"Yes, I agree. It seems she has paused time." Zeref said. What? Paused time? Like Zeref's follower of the Spriggan 12? "Just like Dimaria in the Spriggan 12." So that's her name.
"Nice to finally meet you in person, Lucy Heartfilia. As you know I'm Bella otherwise known as 'The Adventurer'. The last time we talked was when we were in your mind." Bella said.
"It's great to meet and 'unofficial' founder like you." I grinned back.
"It seems like you can control time and space." She said, before I can ask her about that I heard I strange sound.

It sounded static, what could it be? It was coming from Gray, Natsu and Happy. I looked over at the four and they nodded. I walked over to them, my guildmates. I saw that they all have something in their ears. I grabbed Natsu's and out and put it in mine.
"Oh, hi Lucy! Mavis here! What just happened?"
"Apparently I froze time."
"Is that Bella there?"
"Yes!"
"How is she here?! I thought she was in another world! Did you know she helped me make Fairy Tail?"
"Yes, she told me."
"If you froze time, how come we aren't affected?" That question left me stumped. I got Gray and Happy's ear piece and gave one to Zeref and Bella and the other to Acnologia and Jackal to share. Mavis repeated her question.

"I do wonder why." Bella said. "Maybe because we you four are dead and I resurrected you?"
"Then what about Maya?" Mavis asked.
"Maybe from travelling worlds?" Zeref suggested.
"Maybe." Bella said. "I do think that Maya has traveled worlds but I'm not sure. But I know that Anne and her copy have."
"Then it wouldn't it work on them two?" Jackal said.
"Then from being dead and crossing worlds?" Acnologia suggested. That might be it.
"That seems like the only possible thing." Bella said. "Except for me of course."
"But Maya said she went to our world." I said. They are looked at me, did I say something wrong? Bella sighed.
"Maybe it's because of your will? You didn't want to die so you froze time to prevent your death. Your main thought was on Maya to not kill you that might be why she's frozen. And Acnologia's theory applies to the rest of us." She said. Wow, didn't expect it to be as complex as that, then I realised something.

"I can talk! And my body doesn't hurt anymore!" I grinned. Bella smiled.
"Maybe that pill she made you took have you new magic?"
"How did you-?"
"She was working on it when we were younger. Our parents were always fighting so she wanted to make a pill so they couldn't talk and that meant they couldn't fight. So it's just meant to make the resevier not talk."
"Very nice, but that didn't answer my question." Bella then blushed in embarrassment. What was she embarrassed about?
"Well you see." She twiddled her fingers and stared at the floor. "Imayormaynothaveheardyourthoughts.IwasonlydoingitbeacauseAcnologia,ZerefandJackalmademesoIcouldfindyouthenwecouldsaveyou." Maya said really fast. But I still heard her perfectly.
