It took about thirty minutes to get to the Cullens' house and boy, was she amazed with it. Large windows and a modern style, just how she liked it. Putting her mustang in park, she exited her car, sprayed light scented perfume to cover the scent of dog, and began walking towards the door, fixing her work clothes. Just as she was about to knock on the door, it was opened by Edward himself with a small smile on his face. Mia's lips curled into a smile and she tucked a curl behind her pierced ear.
"How was work?" The vampire started as he let her in his home.
Mia rolled her eyes. "Fine, but my friend kind of ruined my buzz before coming here."
Gold eyes flickered over her face quickly before leading the girl up the stairs, passing the collage of graduation caps. "What friend?"
"Jared, but don't worry about it. I'm so excited to meet your mom!" Mia perked up at the thought of finally meeting the woman that called her earlier about dinner, which she could smell as she made her way to the rest of the family.
"Esme is excited too," he laughed lightly. "Should have heard her thoughts." Mia smiled and they entered the kitchen, where some of the family members were waiting.
Rose smiled as she saw the girl, and put the bowl of salad on the counter before going to hug the smaller girl. "Nice to see you, Mia."
"Nice to see you, too, Rose!" the curly haired girl exclaimed before going to Emmett to give him a hug too. Then she stood in between them as a tall man with honey blond hair and light golden eyes came to stand next to a woman with red-ish brown hair and the same gold eyes as the other vampires in the home.
They both smiled and introduced themselves. "My name is Carlisle Cullen, and this is my wife- "
"Esme!" Mia squealed and practically launched herself at the mother-figure vampire. The girl didn't mind that the woman was freezing, since it actually felt good on her flaming skin.
Esme smiled happily and retuned the embrace, though she was curious about the insanely hot body temperature that the girl had. "Nice to finally see you in person, Mia."
"Likewise," She let go and moved to stand next to Edward, but cold hands grasped her own before she was twirled around. With a startled gasp, she locked eyes on a pair of amused dark gold eyes of Jasper.
"You scared me!" Mia laughed as they continued to twirl, making everyone chuckle.
"Sorry, Darlin'." Jasper let her hands go, and the still spinning girl was put into Alice's awaiting arms.
"How's my bestie doing?" The pixie-like vampire giggled as she held the slightly dizzy girl.
"Nng, alright once the world stops spinning." Mia groaned, making Edward frown at his siblings before gently easing his mate-to-be into his arms as he glared slightly at Alice and Jasper. Once her vision was corrected, she heated up slightly as she realized how close she was to the forever seventeen-year-old vampire. The slightly sweet scent of vampire and his natural musk entered her nose and she fought to close her eyes and inhale more of his scent. That would be too weird, she mused herself.
"So, when dinner gonna be done? I am absolutely starved!" she smiled widely as she turned her attention to Esme, who had gone back into the kitchen to make the girl a plate since she would be the only one to eat for obvious reasons.
"It's ready now, actually." Rose inputted as they went into the dining room where they recently purchased a table for this occasion. They all took their seats, and Edward made sure that Mia sat on the end where everyone could see her, and took the place of her right side.
