RICK'S POV

"We can still wait some more." Ezekiel smiled as we stood in an empty field.

"We can't." I mumbled. "He stopped to get me."

     "How's that?"

"Negan." I sighed. "He was on the ground. I was tryin' to kill 'em, and Gabriel stopped to get me."

"We will get him back, I promise this to you." Ezekiel smiled. I gently nodded and turned to the others.

"Anyone get a clear shot of Michaela?"

"She was forced inside once we started shooting." Eric answered.

"Rick." Andy spoke up. "I saw a truck drive away from the Sanctuary. It could've been her."

"Why didn't ya say somethin'?" I grumbled.

"We were busy with the Saviors. Look, we've got the locations of all their outposts, we will find her."

"That's probably where she went, one of the outposts. Negan wants to keep 'er safe. If  he was smart, he would've sent 'er out of state, but I know he's not gonna do that. She won't get far, get some rest, we attack the outposts bright and early. Find 'er. Kill 'er."

MICHAELA'S POV

"Finish your breakfast, and I promise we'll play." I smiled at Elijah as I watched him devour his sorghum pancakes. Once I finished my breakfast, I took my dishes to the sink and rinsed them, getting them ready for when our dishes got picked up.

"Michaela?" I turned and looked at MJ. "Can I talk to ya in the hall for a second?" I gently nodded and followed MJ out into the hall, shutting the door behind us. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry for last night-"

"No, I'm sorry. I snapped at ya when I was just pissed off at the fact that Negan was still out there, surrounded by walkers."

     "So, we're cool?"

"Sure." I smiled. I reached for the doorknob, but MJ didn't move. "Somethin' wrong?"

"After you fell asleep, Elijah called me daddy." I fell silent. "Did ya tell 'em he had to call me that?"

"What? No. No, I'd never tell 'em he had to do that. He asked me about it, and I told 'em that he can call ya whatever he wanted and that you'd still love 'em no matter what."

"So that was all him?" I gently nodded. "I never saw myself as a parent before all this."

"Neither did I, but-" I gently rubbed my stomach. "things change."

"D-Do ya think I could- could-"

"Feel it?" I chuckled. "Sure." MJ smiled and gently placed his hand on my stomach.

"Wow, you're huge." MJ quickly looked up at me in panic. "No- I didn't mean-"

"It's alright." I laughed. "I know I'm huge, two babies growin' inside ya does that." MJ nearly jumped as my stomach began to slightly shift.
