Cutting It Close

Daryl pulled the truck into an empty parking lot that overlooked the Sanctuary, not far from where he continuously found me in the woods. About a half mile in the distance, the Sanctuary remained standing, still surrounded by a horde of walkers. The numbers have grown since the last time I saw it. There was definitely no way for them to get out now. After today, this would all be over. The horde was too big, way too many for them to take on in closed quarters.

Daryl turned off the engine and pulled out a scope from a gun and peered through it. "Here ya go." Daryl passed the scope over to Michonne. "Ya wanted to see it." Michonne looked through the scope briefly before silently nodding at Daryl, passing it back to Daryl.

"So what do you need us for?" Rosita asked.

"To end this thing- right now."

"Our people are going to be at the Sanctuary soon, asking for their surrender, two days tops. We're almost there."

"That's why we do it. We make it happen."

"We don't even know what it is."

"I'm gonna drive this truck into the Sanctuary, let all the walkers in, they'll either all retreat and be even more cut off from their supplies or they all die."

"So we cover you with crossfire from the upper windows," Michonne motioned to one of the sniper posts. "you crash the truck into the walkers and through to the building."

"Yep." I nodded. "Crack it open, Savior buffet."

"You know the workers will make it away, up the stairs?" Rosita asked.

"If they don't fiddledick around, they'll make it."

     "You sure?" I gently nodded.

"After we do this, their only choice is to give up." Daryl added.

"It's risky." Michonne input. "They could see the truck coming."

"The cache is back at the safehouse, the rest has been distributed between Alexandria, Kingdom, and Hilltop, right?" I asked. "No more rockets for the RPGs. We work with what we got, just like they will. They've got limited ammo, the entire time Eugene has been there, he hasn't made a single fuckin' bullet. If they waste ammo on us, they won't be able to save themselves if they try. Another reason why they didn't shoot at y'all when ya first arrived at the Sanctuary." Michonne and Rosita looked at Daryl, questioning my knowledge.

"Like she said, we work with what we got." Daryl nodded.

"You got me. Other snipers, too." We all quickly turned around as Morgan approached us.

"Ah, Morgan." I smiled. "It's good to see ya, man." Morgan suddenly raised his pistol and took aim at my head.

"HEY!" Daryl quickly pushed Morgan away from me.

"Damn, are ya still mad about me killin' Scott?" I chuckled. "Or are ya mad that I blabbed to Negan?"

     "Morgan, back off."

     "Rick said-" Morgan began.

"Rick changed his mind. Michaela's helpin' us."

     "'Helping us'? She betrayed us."

"If it's any consolation, karma came back at me in full force." I smiled. "I'm not just talkin' horrible pregnancy shit, but horrible karma."

"Her and Negan are over." Michonne added. "Right, Michaela?" I didn't respond, only nodded. Morgan let out a sigh and holstered his pistol.

"Saviors see you coming, we got you covered, whatever it takes." Morgan reassured. "I want it done. I want them done."
