Elle
Its successfully been another month of me and Grayson's relationship. We were out and about, currently we were talking in an alley.
"So, has Jacob been leaving you alone lately?" Grayson asks out of the blue and I look up from my phone.
I nod and look back down at my phone. Grayson sighs and my phone is yanked out of my hand. "Hey, I was doing something." I place my hands on my hips.
"It can wait." He smirks and stuffs my phone in his pant pocket. I roll my eyes and he laughs. "What?" I snap. "Are you on your period?'
I glare at him, "Hahah, you're very funny." He laughs, "I'm being serious. Answer the question." I nod and he wraps his arm around my waist, leading us out of the alley.
"Lets go get something to eat." He suggests and I whine, "But baby, people are going to see us together." "I don't care anymore."
I giggle and look down at the snow covered ground. We walk into a café, that was surprisingly open at this time, hand in hand and the bell rings, signaling someone had just walked in.
A older lady quickly appears behind the counter and asks what we would like. I get some hot chocolate cause I'm basic like that and Grayson doesn't get anything.
I hand her $5 and sit down at a booth next to a window. Grayson slides into the seat across me and hands me my phone, "Your phone is annoying and keeps going off."
I take it from him and check to see who I had messages from while talking to Grayson. "Yeah, cause I have friends, surprisingly." I mumble the last part and Grayson just laughs.
"Who is it?" I take my eyes off my phone for a minute and then answer Grayson's question by handing him my phone. His eyes skim through the long message I had received and many more from Alissa, Ethan, and even Jacob.
His jaw clenches and unclenches as he continues to read the new threatening messages inhad received from a blocked number. He hands me my phone back and I turn it off and place it in my coat pocket.
"What are we going to do?" I ask, sliding my arms across the table to grab Grayson's. He shrugs, "There really is nothing we can do at this point." The lady calls my name and I give Grayson a half smile before sliding out of the booth to get my drink.
I return, using my coat sleeves to carry the hot mug and set it down on the table, sitting back down at the booth. Grayson has his head in his hands, his elbows on the table. I furrow my eyebrows and take Grayson's hands away from his face.
"What's wrong babe?" I question and notice a tear rolling down his cheek. I wipe it off with the tip of my thumb, keeping my hand rested on his cheek.
His brown eyes land on my amber ones. "I have to tell you something." He clears his throat and I lean forward in my seat, so I wasn't reaching over to cup his cheeks.
"What is it?" His eyes never leave mine as he explains what he was so upset about. "Vanessa texted me yesterday, saying I had 1 day to actually break up with you and get with her or she would turn me in."
I close my eyes and take deep breaths in and out, trying to contain my anger. This girl just didn't know when to stop. "Where has she been this whole time? Hiding?" I take my hands off of Grayson's cheeks.
He shakes his head before going to speak again. "No, she um...she was in Hawaii with her dad. But she got someone that is apparently really close to you and I to tell her everything that's been going on. Did you tell anyone about me and you secretly being together?"
I shake my head furiously, "No, I would never. But Jacob was kind of suspicious once and after we did that thing in the car after school and you dropped me off at home, there was someone in a car, watching."
Grayson massages his temples in frustration and asks if it looked like a boy or girl. When I think about it, it looked like a slimmer figure, so it must've been a girl. "A girl, I think."
Grayson slams his hands down on the table causing some people to look our way and I grab Grayson's hand. "Everything is going wrong, Elle." I nod and agree with him but reassure him that we will get through this.
I sip on my hot chocolate and almost choke on a marshmallow when I see who walks into the café. Grayson notices my sudden action and turns his head to look and quickly turns back around, his eyes wide.
I leave my hot chocolate and adjust my coat and slipnout of the booth, Grayson following. He pulls his hood over his head and hangs his head low and I do the same thing. We're about to walk out when we get stopped, "Hey kids. What are you doing?"
We stay silent and we hear a gun getting loaded. All the conversations in the café stop and all attention is now on us. "Turn around and take your hoods off." The police officer demands and I look over at Grayson, my head still low.
He nods and I gulp, putting my hands in the air and turning around slowly, Grayson doing the exact same. "Hoods off." He points the fun at us and I quickly take my hood off, Grayson once again doing the same.
The police officer pulls out a little piece of paper that was in his coat and examines it closely. I look over at Grayson in the corner of my eye and I take the hint that he knew exactly what was going to happen cause of the guilty look on his face.
"Grayson Dolan, the one and only. We have been searching forever, about time you came out of hiding." The police officer stuffs the paper back into his pocket and puts his gun away, replacing his gun with handcuffs.
"Hands behind your back." He demands and Grayson turns around, letting his hands fall behind him and I feel useless at this point. There was nothing I could do. The police officer looks at me and tells me to go.
"No. I'm staying with him." I clench my jaw and fold my arms across my chest and the police officer's eyebrow raises. "Excuse me? He is getting arrested, I'm guessing you wouldn't want the same."
I smirk and shrug and see Grayson looking at me, his hands handcuffed behind him and the police officer holding his arm so he wouldn't run. "But I've been a very naughty girl."
Grayson's lips curve up into a small smile and I continue on. "Very naughty." The police officer sighs and begins to walk out with Grayson by his side. I roll my eyes, "I didn't want to have to do this."
The police officer stops in his tracks and turn around, a confused look on his face that quickly turns to shock once he realizes what I have in my hand. I hear Grayson chuckling. I put my hand on the trigger and point the gun at the old lady behind the counter.
"Either arrest me and she lives, or leave me and she dies. What will you choose?" I look at the old lady who was trembling in fear and then back at the police officer and Grayson. Grayson mouths the words, do it. I shrug and pull the trigger.
A loud bang echoes throughout the café and most likely outside. I purposely missed and shot the wall behind her. "Naughty girl." Grayson smirks and I hand the gun back to the police officer and grab the other pair of handcuffs.
"Cuff me, what are you waiting for?" I say and put my hand behind my back and soon enough me and Grayson are both in the back of the cop car, together. Couple goals if I say so.
