Y/N's pov

I was walking home from school. Today's been a tough day. My "friends" didn't talk to me. If they did, they said mean comments. Let's rewind.

There's this girl, her name's Liz. She's the popular girl in school. Almost all, if not all, the guys like her. Then there's me. The quiet shy one. She's always had a grudge against me, but I don't know why. Today, she decided to let herself loose and drag my friends away from me, so now I'm alone.

While walking, I could feel someone follow me. My anxiety was getting the best of me so I thought that maybe he's going the same way I was. I took twists and turns just in case, but it turned out he's still following me.

I entered a coffee shop and sat down in the nearest booth. The man who was sipping his coffee and looking at his phone looked up to me. I noticed it was Peter Parker, the kid from my Spanish class, and the kid I kinda like. "Hi?" He asked. "Oh, I'm sorry I'm here, it's just... it looked like some man was following me and he's right out there." I said pointing towards a man sitting on a bench looking through the glass, but looking away when he saw me turning towards him.

"Oh, well-." He started but was interrupted by a certain preppy girl. "Aww, it's Y/N. How are you? Bad I hope." Liz smirked. "Go away." I mumbled. "Um, don't speak to me like that. It's clear to see who's worse." "Yea, you for taking her friends from her. No one does that. Won't want someone stealing your friends, would you? So why don't you just run along and mind your own business, cause we didn't ask for you." Peter spat. I just sat there astonished, while Liz and her gang looked embarrassed. "Whatever." She said leaving with her squad.

"Why'd you..?" I asked, but not finishing my sentence. "I didn't like how she was treating you." He shrugged. "But you like her?" "How'd you know?" "One, I'm pretty sure almost all the boys do, and two, you make it so obvious." "Oh. Well, what do we do about that problem?" He said, pointing at the man. "What do you think?" "Let's stay till closing time, which isn't that far, and I'll walk you home." "Are you sure?" "Yep!" "Okay then!"

Peter and I spent the whole time talking and even got each others' numbers. We were told to leave, and that's where I started to get scared. I think Peter noticed because he said "It's okay. I won't let him hurt you."

While walking home, the man was behind us, but pretty far, since Peter and I were talking. "Well, this is it. I guess until tomorrow?" I said. He laughed. "Til tomorrow, your majesty." Now we both laughed. Looking back, I saw that the man had left. Peter turned and saw that he wasn't there, causing him to smile that sweet smile. "Well, I have to go. Bye Y/N! Stay safe. If you need any help, you have my number, okay?" "Yea." And I just went to bed, thinking of how I couldn't have spoken with my crush without that creepy dude following me.
