Ch 3 Is Lana lying or what?

So, Lana comes to me later during lunch break. "Hey Klo", she said. Well that's wierd cause she never calls me anything except for nutcase and nuthead and many other nutty names. Only Leon, Piper, Jas and my family call me Klo. Lana stopped calling me Klo 7 years ago.

"Hey La", I said, Calling her the name I used to call her until 7 years ago. Lana's real name is Alana, but the entire school calls her Lana. Only I call her La. (well I used to)

"So", she continued. "Wanna sit at out table?" she asked me, pointing out to the popular table. "Well, we- that's mainly me, Kylee and Jas thought that you should sit with us since you always sit alone"

"Well", i said "I don't sit alone. I sit with Piper and Leon. You know them, they used to be OUR friend. Will, they still are my friends. And yeah, I'll sit with, you but only on one condition." I paused dramatically, as Lana stared at me wide-eyed,"Piper and Leon too, have to sit with us, at THAT table."

"Uh", Lana said and looked at Jas I just guessed she did so because Jasper (thats Jas' real name) nodded his head all of a sudden. "Okay SHE, too, can sit with US"

So, I picked up my blue lunch tray consisting of an apple, orange juice (I can't live without it, just BTW) and a piece of apple pie. I scanned the popular table once I reached there. I knew only Jas, Kylee and Lana.

Lana then said to everyone," Come on guys, be your normal, dorky, selves and introduce yourself to Klo and Car-Viper...." "Piper" Piper and I corrected Lana at the same time.

"Yeah, Piper, yeah I knew that." Lana said. "Okay guys, introductions please.

"Hey, I'm Kylee", Kylee said with a rabbit smile.

"Trey", the vice-captain of the basketball team introduced himself

"And last of all, of course, you know me, the captain of the basketball team and, she's Lana" Jas said on Lana's behalf too. Lana gave him a nasty look which no one else saw.

"Make yourself at home" Lana said. Once again I scanned the table. Hmm, I thought. There was place on either side of Jas. Of course, one seat was for Lana so I sat between Trey and Jas.

We all spoke for the rest of lunch break. After an hour the bell rang.

"That was fun" I told Piper. "Oh ya, Lana called me Car-Viper all through lunch" Piper told me giggling.

"See ya tomorrow" Lana said.

"Yup, what she said" Jas said.

Trey and Kylee smiled and waved at me, "Yeah, just can't wait for tomorrow" Trey said. Kylee hit him on the chest with her elbow. He shouted and the entire noisy caffeteria got quiet. Trey blushed and ran to class with Kylee behind him.

But tomorrow is saturday, I thought. Hmm. something's just not right.

Jas, me and Piper entered Math class. Mrs. Lilly Prim-Rose, (I swear, that's her name. With flowers for name and surname) our math teacher entered that class. Everyone got quiet at one clap of hers. "Okay, students, now listen to me carefully. All of you need to do a group project. Quickly form groups of four only, not less not more.

I pulled Piper towards me, Piper pulled Leon and at the same time and Jas, yes Jasper Stuart pulled me towards him. But before I could protest, Mrs. Rose clapped her hands twice, again,"okay kids, thats enough. Now, for your topics.........." and she wrote a number of topics on the board and assigned them to each group. We got geometry.

"Okay now", Mrs. Rose clapped her hands once again (she claps her hands a lot. It's like clapping to her is like breathing to her) and then continued,"now I need you to select team captains" Piper, Leon and even Jas stared at me.

I protested, but to no avail. So I stood up. Mrs. Rose then gave us futher instructions and then we discussed and the bell rang in another half hour.

I got out of the class with Jas, Piper and Leon. It was like Jas was following me everywhere, but then again, we have the same classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and today was Friday.

Finally, school ended. I ran out of the building in a hurry. Jas, however, caught-up with me. "Uh, Kloe, wait. Wait for me. I wanna tell you something." I heard him and waited.

"Uh", he stammered once he caught up with me. "I wanna discuss the project with you."

"Okay, " I said," I'll tell Piper and Leon, too.

"Uh, um, ya then, uh ok, ya it-its fine. So, uh, I'll see you uh, tomorrow? evening? your house?" Jas stammered.

"Ya, tomorrow evenings fine". And I went home.
