Blast after blast, Toothless struck the Bewilderbeast, clearly going past the typical Night Fury shot limit. The Alpha had no time to respond, only able to break the chunk of ice Toothless was perched on. However, the young Night Fury simply jumped to another, continuing this game of hit and miss. One by one, the dragons came to there senses and joined Toothless, all facing the Bewilderbeast as a means of showing who was the more powerful and highly regarded dragon in these parts. Drago shouted in vain, climbing up the gigantic dragon's tusks to try and control it, but it wasn't working.

Everyone stood tall, proud, and most importantly, stood together. Everyone was united against this threat, standing against Drago and his dragon. With Hiccup on his back, Toothless leapt onto an undamaged ice spike protruding from the ground, to stand in complete defiance of the old Alpha. "Now do you get it? This is what it is to earn a dragon's loyalty." Despite Hiccup's truthful words, Drago would not take defeat. "Let this end, now."

"Never!" Drago cried, raising his bullhook to command his dragon to charge forwards. As he readied to hit the dragons before him with an icy blast, Toothless let out a commanding croon, shooting a plasma blast at the Bewilderbeast. Followed by a blow from Astra. And soon enough, all the dragons were firing at the intruder, causing so much damage that the Bewilderbeast's left tusk broke and fell into the water. With a whimper and a whine, it staggered back, retreating into the depths of the ocean as Toothless let out a victorious cry. It would no longer make eye contact, instead now keeping its head down as it plunged deeper and deeper into the ocean, an angry Drago faintly crying for it to turn back and fight. "The Alpha protects them all." Everyone cheered, ecstatic to know that they had come out victorious in this battle. The dragons landed, those from Valka's nest amassing before them on the ice spikes, whilst the Berkian's dragons found their way to their riders.

Every dragon bowed, paying their respects to their new Alpha. Astra bowed, paying her respects to the new Alpha too. Toothless puffed out his chest, standing tall and regal before his new pack of dragons, proudly accepting his new title. He let out another cry, one of victory and the other dragons joined in. "You never cease to amaze me, bud." Hiccup said, holding Toothless' face close to his own. You would never live up to their friendship, or be able to ever have a bond like that with Astra, but you knew it was a mould that only those two could ever fit. Their foreheads touched, eyes closed, which only further showed the extent of their friendship. "Thank you." And with those words, Tooth began to eagerly lick his rider, making the whole village erupt into laughter. You fell into a fit of giggles, trying to suppress the noise but ultimately failing and snorting loudly. "Toothless, you know that doesn't wash out!"
