The girls found themselves the next day cooped in the new truck as they drove around the town, admiring the never-ending greenery of Forks.
"So where do you wanna go for lunch, or do you wanna go back home," Bella asks as she continuously drove around town.
"Let's go to Deb's place I did say she made a mean milkshake, oh and a killer cobbler," Gabby says as she pulled her hair in a messy ponytail. Nodding, Bella turned around the corner with her sister's instruction.
Once the two girls got to the diner, they jumped into the back booth and scanned the inviting menu. The smell of greasy burgers, sugary milkshakes and homey, freshly baked pies and cobblers filled the restaurant and made the twins' stomach grumble with hunger.
A brown-haired and honey tanned skinned girl walked over to the twins' table. She wore a black and white server outfit with her hair up, her coils knotted in a pretty bun with a pen threaded through her hair.
"What can I get fo—GABRIELA SWAN!" The girl exclaims as she engulfs the older twin in a bone-crushing hug.
"Sophie... you're cutting my blood circulation!" Gabby says as the girl scoffs and lets go of her.
"You're an ass, Ella! I haven't seen you for years! Then you come and tell me I'm cutting your blood circulation! You really are an ass."
Laughing, Gabby hugs the girl and introduces her younger sister to her childhood best friend who smiles awkwardly—Bella, I mean.
Once the twins finish their lunch with Sophia slacking off work and getting yelled at by her mum—Debbie, who also engulfed Gabby once she saw her—Bella and Gabby found themselves back at home chilling in Gabby's room. She was writing their names on notebooks while Gabby read the old Feature papers.
"Huh, this Angela Weber, is a pretty good writer," Gabby says as she looks up from her laptop. Getting a hum from her sister, Gabby looked over and watched Bella move the permanent marker gracefully as she wrote names in cursive.
"I think I wanna stay," Bella says as she looks up at her sister. Gabby's eyes widen at her sister's words.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I mean what do I have to lose?" Bella says, shrugging.
"I mean, I guess... are you sure? I don't want to pressure you..."
"Ellie... I'm fine plus I did a whole bunch of thinking, I'll give Forks a try..."
Smiling, she nodded and continued reading the articles from their new school.
Gabby was happy.
✄
Gabby and Bella parked in front of the school that had a small sign over the door saying 'OFFICE'. As the two girls walked in, the warmth from the office heater hugged the twins' cold forms. The office was a small little waiting area with padded folding chairs, orange-flecked carpets, notice boards filled with fliers and glass cased shelves decorated with awards, a clock ticked loudly in the corner. Plants grew everywhere in large plastic pots. The room was cut in half by a long counter, cluttered with wire baskets full of papers and brightly coloured flyers. There were three desks behind the counter, on one, there sat a red-haired woman wearing glasses who was wearing a purple t-shirt, making Gabby feel overdressed, looking down at her outfit, she tried to cover herself as much as she can with her jacket. She was wearing dark blue skinny jeans and a cream silk cami that she tucked in with an apricot-tan suede leather jacket. (A/N: The pic right above)
