Bullseye

I clenched onto my chest and slightly bended over. It felt like a knife slicing through my chest, ripping my heart out into shreds.

I closed my eyes tightly then opened them, the pain slowly faded away.
I rushed home and fell into the comfort of my best buddy, bed.

I felt really weak due to what just happened earlier. Ugh I don't want to deal with this again, I hate it when people feel worried about me.

I went into the shower and had a warm bath, changed into cozy clothes and dived into the warmth of heaven.

As soon as my head sunk into my soft pillow, I drifted off into lala land.

I felt a hand lightly shaking me,

"Sweety, wake up" a familiar voice said.

I opened my eyes.

Mum.

I shot up, "mum"

"Are you okay? You didn't come down for dinner"

"Oh just feeling tired from um... School". Lies.

"Aright, well come have something to eat" she patted my back softly and left my room.

I don't want to tell anyone, its nothing to be worried about.

I think.

I fluttered my eyes open and realized it was Friday. And tomorrow is Casey's party. I forgot to ask mum and dad.

I got ready for school.

While having breakfast.

"Hey mum?" I started, feeling nervous cos I know what my answer is gonna be. No.

"Yes sweety?"

"Um...uh...tomorrow is uh..Casey's birthday and she invitedmetoherparty" I said rapidly at the end.

"What? Slow down flash"

"Casey invited me to her party and a sleepover as well" I say calmly.

She thought for a minute. "Okay"

My eyes shot wide open I didn't even know they could.

"Really!?" Excitement bubbling inside me.

She nodded.

"Thank you thank you thank you" I said kissing her cheek.

"Just let your father know, give him a call" mum said

Dad was always on business trips, always busy. Right now he was in Singapore.

I was sitting in English class when a piece if paper hit my head. What the-

I picked up the paper and opened it.

Hey nerd what's the teacher talking about, I zoned out a bit.

I looked around to see who this idiot is.

I felt someone staring at me from the back. I turned and say Blake staring at me.

'What?' I mouthed.

'Did you read the paper dummy?' He mouthed back.

I rolled my eyes and turned to face the teacher explaining.

Another paper hit my head.

'How dare you ignore me nerd'

I scrunched up the paper and threw it back to him landing straight on his face. Bullseye!

Who in the hell does he think he is?
Arrogant pig.

The bell rang for Lunch so I bolted out of the classroom to avoid any form of contact with Blake.

I sit and breath heavily from that running. Damn I need to start going to the gym again, its been weeks.

Looks of confusion filled the table

"Why are you breathing like you have asthma?" Casey asks

"Well if you must know, I threw a paper at Blake's face" I pant.

"What?!" Thea, Casey and Amy said in unison.

I jolted "what?" I raise my eyebrows in confusion.

"Why did you throw something at Mr Hottie's face, you could've ruined it" Amy said causing me to giggle.

"What happened?" Josh asked

"Hmm good question, you see he threw a paper at me FIRST! Asking me to tell him what Mrs Arson was saying because he wasn't paying attention!"
I say totally annoyed.

They laughed then dropped when they saw I was serious.

"So what now?" Jer asked

I shrugged "probably just gonna hide from him for the rest of the year"

"You know that's not quite possible" Thea says

"But he barely notices me, or even knows me" I point out.

"Good point. Good luck with that" Thea says.

"Anyways, are you gonna make it?" Casey asked

"Oh yeah, mum said OK"

The three girls squealed in excitement causing me to laugh.

"It's gonna be a good weekend ladies" Thea says

Josh coughs.

"And guys" Thea says noticing Josh and Jer feeling out of place.

After the library I walked out to the parking lot to hitch a ride with Thea since we're going for the weekend at Casey's.

I walk out and see Blake leaning on his fancy car laughing with his friends.

Oh no. No. No. No

I pick up my pace to Thea who's talking to Jer, when he suddenly notices me and gives me a hard glare.

I ran into the Thea's car "drive!"

"OK OK." She says getting in. "See you later babe" she turns back to Jer.

We ride in silence tip she decides to speak up, "what happened?"

"I saw Blake and freaked" I say

She laughed "jeez"

I slapped her arm.

"Hey I'm driving lady, watch it" she says still giggling.
