Me and Francisco were on the road, driving back to Manhattan. We stopped to grab another bite to eat since it was one-thirty. We talked over what we were going to do the rest of the day and it was decided. We pulled into the city, and I warned Francisco not to take off the gloves. We stopped in front of a bricked building around uptown Manhattan. It said "Freccia's Bakery" on in lights on top of the door. Francisco went to the side while I went through the front door. Just as I was walking through the door, the lights flickered and turned back on. The lady looked confused she looked up and said "been a while since we had any electrical disturbances". I turned my body to the little Italian lady by the desk and walked to her, I then spoke to her.
"Io sono qui per signor Freccia, e qui per la lavorare." (I am here for Mr. Freccia, and here to work.) She switched her look from a happy face to a serious expression. She then led me to the back where there was a staircase going downstairs. We got to an iron door where she knocked loudly, a man with a deep voice opened the peep slide.
"Chi è là?" (Who is there), He said with a voice of anger yet, curiosity.
"Questo giovanotto dice lui è qui per mi marito, Signor Freccia."(This young man says he is here for my husband Mr. Freccia). After she said this the man had a questioned look through his eyes.
He responded, "Io non conosco." (I don't know), I wasn't sure if she had authority over him as the bosses wife, but I didn't ask.
She asked politely, "Aperto la porta"(Open the door), she repeated herself putting more command in her voice each time.
The man looked a little worried, "Ma Signora?"(But Miss?) .
She then used all the command in her voice and demanded, "Aperto la porta adesso!", (Open the door now!), this apparently made the man open the door.
I walked inside and looked towards the both of them "grazie", I said as I thanked the both of them. The man bowed to the lady and closed the door. He then breathed as he was pissed by her demands. This breath was his last as I stabbed him when he was looking away. I opened the door to let Francisco in, he pulled out a gun and waited by the door for anyone who comes in. I walked in through a hallway and saw two men, one reading and one smoking, sitting at their desks. I through one knife which hit the first man in the heart, I then through another knife which cut the string to the lights above him. The lights fell and the man was crushed from the weight. I walked passed their desk and corpse to another hallway in front of a two big doors. There was three men who was by the door, they were probably guarding it. They were talking so they didn't notice me I grabbed the rope I bought while I was at the mall, I looked up and saw sprinklers. I attached the rope to one of my knifes getting ready to attack. I went back to search the two other guys for a lighter. I found a fancy old golden lighter that says "Come Freddo Come Inverno" also known as "As Cold As Winter". I took one of the pages on his desk and lit it on fire, I put out the fire before they could smell the smoke. It was still smoking so I held it up by the sprinkler in the other room. They started to notice the smoky smell, but it was too late since the sprinklers started to turn on. They looked up confused, until they saw me throw the knife at the lamp on the desk. They pulled out their guns getting ready to shoot, they then noticed that I pulled the knife to turn the other direction. They ran and slipped trying to stop the knife, but they were to slow, the knife hit the lamp. The slow motion kicked in, the lamp was falling and the two men opened their eyes widely. The lamp was on, and it hit the ground shattering. The men was vibrating with shocked expressions, they then collapsed to the floor. I pulled my knife back, I might need it later for all I know. They were electrocuted, and I walked in to look at their priceless faces. I heard someone yelling at me, I forgot, there was a third guy. He tried to reach for his gun, I saw him struggling and threw my knife at him. It hit him in the chest, he didn't react after that but just for safety measures, I pulled his body forward to hit the floor. If he wasn't dead yet, he should be now that his body touched the water. I grabbed the lamp to put it out of the water. I then waited for the sprinklers to stop and walked over to the door. I waited for this moment for a long time, and now it was time. I opened the door to find a nicely decorated office there. It had a nice rounded painting in the back with a good traditional feeling with it. In the middle was a chair, and in that chair was Mr. Freccia, the leader. He looked at me confused and changed his expression, he had a mustache that was thinner then toothpicks, and a crooked smile. He had jet black hair slicked back with gray streaks to the side. He looked at me "Chi sono tu, giovane uomo?"(Who are you young man?). I didn't even answered him, I just stood there until he almost got up. He stopped as soon as he got out of his chair, shouldn't be surprising since I just pulled a gun on him.
He started yelling, "il fanculo è questo, tu figlio di un!"(The f**k is this, you son of a!)
I cut him short before he finished his sentence it wasn't even needed since I obviously knew what he was going to say. "Even I'm getting tired of all this translating, you are going to speak English now, capisci?!"
He looked at me and sighed, "ok" he said with a little hesitation. "What do you want to know signor?"
I looked him straight into his eyes, "I already know a lot about you, you are signor Freccia, you've been running a bakery with a secret crime organization under the cops noses. You went against the mafia too and somehow made it to your sixties." I preceded to ask him a question. "Do you remember a girl with black hair, green eyes, and medium to dark beige skin?"
He looked confused then looked up, he then had a moment of realization. "Was her name Eliana, I saw her on the news?"
I aimed the gun more steadily, "Yes it was, you killer her mother and attempted to kill her next, you ruined her life, she had to do many things without the support, she had to help her father pay bills, pay for her own classes in college, and had to plan her own mother's funeral cause the father was an emotional wreck, and not just that, but you then shot her in the stomach too.". My eyes started to water up a little, "It was because of you she went through so many challenges, because of you she had to suffer!" I started to relaxed a little, "Well I can't be completely mad at you, you did technically made my best friend a stronger person, sadly though I can't let this all be forgotten." I heard two footsteps behind me after I finished my sentence.
Someone pulled a gun by my head, the person then spoke, "If I was You I would put the gun down, now!", I then noticed the second set of footsteps getting closer.
The man holding the gun to my head collapsed after I heard a gun shot. Francisco shot him in the back of the head and the man didn't noticed Francisco with all his screaming. Francisco fell to the floor after getting hit in the head. It was Signorina Freccia, and she hit Francisco with the lamp from earlier. She tried to grab Francisco's gun, but she was too slow as I tied the rope around her neck holding the knife, and held her in in a chokehold. Signor Freccia tried to get up to stop me, but I held him at gun point and pointed at him to sit back in the chair.
I started to chuckle and smile, "No no no, now this is where the real fun begins!" Francisco got back up and told him to grab the two ends of the rope.
Signor Freccia then pleaded, "please don't hurt mi moglie(my wife)." His expression was mortified as I told Francisco to tighten the string again and again.
He tried to get over his desk, but he fell back into his chair. How is he going to save his wife now with a bullet in his right lung. He looked and pleaded again, I told him how I wondered how much Eliana begged and pleaded and how her mother begged too. His face changed to sorrow knowing he couldn't do anything at the moment. I handed the gun to Francisco, his girlfriend was the one that was shoot anyways. I then told Signorina Freccia I was sorry, I then cover her mouth and nose as I tightened the string. She closed her eyes and slowly her life was going away. Francisco then turned to Freccia and then asked him, "Do you have any regrets?"
Freccia answered, "That I didn't kill you when I saw you around the corner from your little girlfriend, you can't reverse the past and you know that, now you're going to have to live with that for the rest of your life."
I moved my hand from covering Signorina Freccia's mouth letting her breathe. She then looked up gasping for air, this was her last moment as I then broke her neck. Signor Freccia then tried to jump out of his seat, just for Francisco to shoot him right in-between his eyes.
Me and Francisco started to head back to the car, I left a gray sweater patch on Freccia's desk right before I left. Me and Francisco then got into the car right around the back of the bakery.
Francisco looked at me, "You just had to take the cream puffs and cannolis didn't you?"
I finished my cannoli and answered him, "Of course, don't be a hypocrite you took a donut, good thing you went around back and shut off the cameras with the power box while I was about to walk in the door."
"Hey, it was your plan, how did you know about the power box being outside the building anyways?"
"I come here once in a while and this is where I sometimes get Robin a cannoli."
Francisco started to look concerned, "They won't be able to track you from here right?"
"Nope, they have a sign in book and I don't come here on the weekends."
We started to drive off and went back to the city. We got back to Francisco and Eliana's house and me and Francisco said are goodbyes. It won't be that long until I see him, we usually all see each other every other weekend. I then got home to Robin watching television. I gave her the box with all the cannolis and laid down on the couch. We talked about our day while eating all the cannolis, of course I didn't tell her about what happened in the bakery. Maybe one day I'll tell her everything, one day, but not today.
