I was reading a book at my desk waiting to hear anything from Lucious. I was reading Harper Lee's bestseller, To Kill A Mockingbird. Me of course loving the book, this is the fifth time reading the book itself, I've heard that she always had a sequel that she refused to release, according to rumors she might release it soon. As I sat there I remembered how me and Robin met in Middle school.
The first time we met was while we were eating lunch, I sat with Francisco while one of our friends came over, her name was Shelly, and Robin was her friend. Since Robin isn't a social person and she was still somewhat new to the school, she would usually walk around with Shelly. That one day Shelly went to talk with me and and Francisco, and Robin went with her, Robin looked in her pockets and found out she forgot her money at home. She asked Shelly and Francisco if they at least had two quarters for snacks at school. She then went to me, and knowing me of course I had two quarters on me and that was how we met. I don't know how but the moment I met her, something changed. For the first time time went slow and I saw her smile. It was as if we were in our own little bubble. Of course though this was seventh grade me and I barely paid attention to my feelings, but it wasn't until a week or two later. I got into an argument with some other friends of mine in my Italian class, which of course was my only class with Robin. Since Shelly was the only person I technically knew in the class, I moved away from the people I was arguing with and sat with Shelly, that was when I technically met Robin the second time. That was the moment time went slow again and Foraminis told me, "That girl, that's the love of your life, one day you're going to marry that girl." I tried to shake it off but as I got to knew her I actually wondered if were meant to be together. We went through our hardships and broke off are friendship for a couple of months before we even got to eight grade. We actually had more classes together this year so it wasn't long until we started talking again, the moment we started talking I felt a part of me changed again, but the moment she smiled at me, was the moment I heard Foraminis talked to me again. At that point I never gave up on her no matter what, if course we still had our rough moments and a few rough years, but we made it through and now we're engaged. A part of me since we met told me I'll always love her, and the younger version of me tried to deny it, I guess that's a funny part about being a kid. We try our best to deny the most truest of things, even when we are completely wrong, or even know we're wrong. We try our best to seem right to everyone else. Another funny part about that is that no matter what, that naive part of life, always seem to grow up with you. No matter how hard you fight it, it's stays with you, and sometimes controls you. Dumb people never admit they're wrong, Smart people just let you think you've won the argument. I guess sometimes I can be part of both.
I noticed the clock, it was nine-thirty, it's almost completely dark. I decided to run through the facts and notes about the Grey killer and all of their victims. I ran through some of the evidence found at the crime scene. Many of the murders were on the right side of the victims body, which means are killer is most likely left handed. They have some affiliation with my graduation class. And have to be sneaky to get away with this much. I looked at the grey handkerchief and noticed an hairstrand, brunette. It all hit me at once, "She was at the restaurant, she was the one of the only survivors, she didn't have a full description of her attacker, she would know if we were close to anything, she witness most of the attacks, she had a front row seat this entire time. Her significant other didn't get attacked." I know who the copycat killer is! I rushed back to my office and right as I turned I saw him at my desk.
"Lucious what are you doing here?" He turned towards me and spoke, "I know it's you Lloyd."
