I walked slowly towards the table to see Susan bleeding out her head. I whispered to myself under my breath, "This just in Susan's out". I looked towards Robin to see her smirking, this kind of confused me but I tried not to think much of it.
I asked her, "You're ok right?"
She responded, "Fine just happy you didn't get hurt by the accident."
I walked her out the restaurant and she slept at my place for the night. While walking out I saw this man in a beige trench-coat with jet black hair, he had blue eyes and white skin. Something about him seemed off, and his smirking appearance didn't help. Me and Robin got to my place and watched the news to see what might of caused the event. The news lady appeared on the screen telling the story, she almost seemed kind of happy, maybe it's from the sudden promotion.
Four dead bodies right here at Walkman Skating Rink!
Two were announced dead on arrival as News 8's very own Susan Carmichael was killed when she was apparently shot in the head while finishing her dessert, Police would of suspected the DJ, Timothy Fourfield of causing the murder since the gun was found in his chest. Sadly though, Police found Timothy dead and DOA(Dead on arrival) when they found his body trampled by the visitors who heard the gunshot and ran to the exits. While closing down the restaurant workers found two more bodies in the ladies bathroom, with the same mask symbol that was found on the knife by Lake Justine the other day in fact. Police don't know when the death of these two people were since they were suspected to have probably been sitting there all day since the custodian was out sick that day, and the cameras were out for repairs. The People and police now have a name for the perpetrator, who is now known as "The Grey Blade Killer" or other wise "The Grey Killer". The name seemed to derived from the fact that the killer usually leaves something grey, since the first killing where the killer left a grey piece of paper, to the fourth suspected killing where the killer left a knife with the grey mask. This killing the killer left a grey piece of string tied against one of the victim's wrist.
I won't lie I kind of liked the name the public gave me, The Grey Killer really suits my name and my personality when you think of it. I don't get something though, I didn't go in the girl's bathroom, so who's the person who murdered the two other people. If what I was thinking was right then that would mean that I have a copycat murderer on my hands. I turned around to see Robin kind of startled but kind of un-phased by what she just watched.
"Robin are you ok? You seem to be happy by all of this sudden news."
"I don't want to sound like a monster but I am happy, Susan was a horrible person and deserved what she got."
"What did she do to you?"
"Susan was the one who got my father convicted for a false testimony, she tried to blame him for a murder she knew he didn't do, this almost ruined everyone's future, including mine. No one wanted to hire my father scared he was falsely let go, but one nice man gave him a decent job and we was able to get by."
"Well, nice to see she got what was coming to her, karma's a funny thing."
           "It sure is, isn't it."
I smirked from the idea I made Robin happy with my own sadistic nature. I laid down next to Robin getting ready to go to sleep, we kept staring at each other waiting for the other to drift away. We snuggled a little both imagining how things are going to change after graduation. I mean not much is going to change for me, I'm only getting my Masters in Forensics. I have a job at the police station in the Forensics Department, and I'm second in command since most of the previous workers were retiring not long after I started. At night though every once in a while I get hired to "clear" a few rotten apples out of the forest. Robin though is getting her Masters in Creative Writing, she works for a news station. She writes the stories and draws the cartoons most of the time. She also sits at the directors table since she's one of the best workers. I then noticed how Robin and me are still up just staring at each other, then suddenly I whispered to her.
"I love you."
Robin started blushing and smiling at me, "I love you too."
We shifted a little more towards each other, and both fell asleep holding each other, when I woke up she wasn't there. I got up and went into the kitchen and  was surprised to see Robin cooking pancakes. I hugged her from behind and kissed her on the cheek.
"You didn't have to you know.", I said still smiling and hugging.
"I wanted to since you were kind enough to help me pack most of my house the other day."
"Yeah, but chocolate chip, that's usually for special occasions."
"I know it's your favorite you told me a couple of years ago, remember?"
"Yeah but still that was so long ago, you still remember?"
"And I thought you was always the one to remember everything, so when are we going t-?" She was cut short when Lloyd lifted her up onto the counter and kissed her. She excitedly explains, "Stop I have to finish the pancakes."
"Ok, but hurry up so we can finish getting your stuff out your house."
About 6 hours later we finished unpacking the van with all her furniture and house decorations. I was called in early at my job in the Forensics lab. I went inside and talked to Mr. Anderson, the head of the Forensics and my only boss besides the city and chief of police.
"Lloyd I'm glad you came in, we need to do an autopsy over some corpse that have recently been on the news."
I was wondering if he was talking about the skating incident that happened yesterday. As he started to unzip the bodybag I was as curious as ever. My curiosity quickly went away as the zipper went down. It was Susan Carmichael's corpse, and me getting to analyze it was a golden opportunity. I also saw three other corpse, no doubt one of them was Timothy Fourfield. I asked him about the two he didn't unzip and he told me that those were the bodies found in the restroom. He then told me that tomorrow the lab will be analyzing the bodies found by the Hudson River. The good thing though is that he'll be on vacation so that means I'll be head of the lab for the next week. Suddenly mid-conversation a man walks in the room with a trench-coat on, it was the same man from the other day in the skating rink, he then started speaking to us.
"What did you find today Mr. Anderson, anything interesting?"
He responded, "Trying to, and where's my manners, this is Mr. Armati, my right hand man, Mr. Armati this is Mr. Lucious, he's the the detective operating the case on The Grey Killer."
I looked at him and opened my mouth, "Aren't you to young to be a detective mister?"
He responded, "Aren't you to young to be second in command of this lab, sir?", he said this while placing his hand on the examination table.
"Not really, I'm getting my Masters tomorrow for this field of study and I'm top of my class, I just happened to have caught the early worm."
"Kind of ironic to me since we're the same age Mr. Armati."
"How would you know?"
"I know a lot about everyone here I did my research when I first came here, you can never be to safe, right?"
"True you can never be to safe but being on the safe side doesn't always help, wouldn't you agree?"
"I couldn't disagree more with that statement, being safe keeps you alive."
"Well I have my opinions and you have yours, from my knowledge being safe can get you a bullet in your back by someone trusted, but only time will show us who is right in this matter."
"You seem to have some trust issues, by the way what was your minors in college?"
"Psychology I also dabbled with sociology but, after a year I went back to psychology since it seemed more like my type of field studies."
He stood right in front of me with a shocked expression, he then pulled out a cigarette and lighter. He looked at me, "you smoke?". I just stared at him and shook my head no disgusted by the cigarette. I always hated smoking, it's something that ruins your body on multiple levels and people do it for fun. He then spoke to me and asked a question.
"Why did you decide to become a Forensics pathologist?"
"It always interested me what goes on behind the scenes of the crime scenes, but what always made you decide that being a detective was a good choice."
"One summer I went out the city, one day someone close to me was killed, the police prosecuted one of my family members. They went to jail for about three years, they never found the killer."
"I'm sorry to hear that, so I saw you last night at Walkman's restaurant, did you enjoy the food?"
"I sure did, I also witnessed the murder right as it happened, now that I think of it you sure do look familiar, where have I seen you before?"
"I was also at Walkman's last night maybe you saw me when I wasn't looking, or saw me drinking at Starbucks, you never really know."
Something about this man seems really familiar, he has an old feeling but an unfamiliar look. Something about him doesn't feel right, he witnessed the murder but doesn't seem to be really on top about what happened. Maybe he has some inside information that the rest of us don't know about? Well at least what the rest of the department doesn't know.
