I was right, Skylar was leaning on the car, "Does Francis know about your second life. She closed the car door, "Nah, we stopped seeing each other almost two weeks ago, I'm with Alejandro now." So the two copycat killers all along, my fiancé and one of my closest friends. Robin looked at me, "I found one of your knives in a secret compartment in your closet. After remembering what the station showed on the news for the Lake Justine founding, I connected the two together, we really were made for each other."
I smirked, "I matched made in heaven."
She smiled at me, "But cemented in hell."
I asked Skylar about the letter, she tried her best to answer it without confusing us. "Well we needed someone to pinned some of the murders on, so I came up with a backup plan. I got Robin to write a note forging his handwriting, when I went up to him about it I got him to rewrite the note. I told him I went to the handwriting specialist and copied the note word to word. Just in case he ever decided to get rid of the one I gave back." I complimented her on the scheme and explained how we're going to get away with this. When Robin and Skylar got worried about the hair sample, I explained how I grabbed it out the lab before I went to my desk. We broke the sample tray and threw it in the garbage.
We got home when the power came back to the neighborhood by the police station, I called the chief and told him that Lucious came to my office, he saw that he left DNA on one of the crime scene evidence but couldn't grab it because I came into the lab. He then waited for me to get to my desk and tried to blame me for the murders to catch me off guard, he pulled a gun on me when the lights went out and tried to kill me. I knocked the gun out of his hand and shot him in the arm, he tried to pull a knife on me but he luckily slipped and stabbed himself in the shoulder, he must have been dazed from the blood he lost in his arm. I told the chief that I grabbed the gun pushed him and shot him in the spine, I reacted by leaving the room screaming that the truth will be revealed, and since Detective Lucious had no where to go he committed suicide. This is where the note played perfectly into the situation, tying everything together. I explained to the chief that he's most likely the copycat killer to the real Grey Killer. The chief went along with everything I said, everything was in my hands, like playing with some child's play-dough.
The chief awarded me with a raise and a brand new office. Skylar started her job the next semester at the college. Robin started maternity leave eventually and stayed home. Me and Robin took a new picture, of us together smiling, holding his sonogram.
A few months before though it was heart racing. I stood at the end of the aisle in black. Eliana walked down with Francisco, then Skylar with Alejandro, something we had to add quickly. Then finally she appeared in that doorway, holding her father's arm, in a beautiful sleeveless all white dress. It sparkled, since it was lined with beautiful gems, the gems made swirls going around her waist up to her torso. Although the gems were sparkly, nothing shined compared to her, as she started to walk down the aisle, I could see the outline of her smile. Timed slowed down again, just like when I met her, it was that feeling again. Isn't it funny when you love someone and you think, "there is no way I can love you more than I already do." Then you actually do, and it's just wow what's this new level of love I'm feeling for this person, and no matter how much you think you're at your limit, you keep on loving this person more.
She got to the end of the aisle and we stood there in front of a priest, it was the most exciting moment of my life. Well almost as exciting as the end. "Do you take Robin's hand to be your beloved wife, through sickness and health?" With no hesitation I answered, "I do." He turned to Robin, "Do you take Lloyd to be your partner through sickness and health, with big excitement, "I do" he took a step back, "You may kiss the bride." I lifted the veil to see her smiling as always. It hit me, this is the moment you've been working hard for, every achievement you ever earn was to get up to here. Without thinking I kissed her as everyone cheered. We both ran down the aisle holding hands to the bright light.
Someone else saw a bright light not long after, it was January. The doctor kept yelling, "Push!" After five hours he finally came out. I stood by Robin holding her hand, "We did it." she said, I smiled brighter at her. They brought the baby to us in a blanket, "What would you two like to name him?" We looked at each other and down at the baby, at the same time with both smiled and told the nurse, "Blake."
