Arlo stared at the dagger Myrin handed her. It was beautiful and elegant with perfect balance and a handle made of gold.
"What's this?" Arlo inquired, staring Myrin down in hopes of an honest answer.
"A gift," Myrin replied.
"You stole this, didn't you?"
Myrin snorted. "No."
The next day Arlo heard a vendor speaking about a missing dagger. She would have slipped it back if she didn't believe Myrin would steal again. It seemed the forced gift was going to be hers regardless.
Well, it was a really nice dagger.

I wasn't going to make one with Arlo and Myrin cause they don't have Christmas but, screw it, I decided to go with gift "giving" lol Close enough!
