Senior Year
Simone
"Y'all time is really flying by. I remember when we first came here for our freshmen year and now we're about to leave in a couple of more months.""I know girl."
"It sure doesn't feel like it."
"It doesn't, it really doesn't it."
"Y'all still doing the occupations y'all said y'all were doing or y'all changed it to something else?" I asked the girls.
"Still doing the ones we said." All three replied.
"What about you?"
"The same goes for me and I'm also pursuing music."
"What? Simone that's great!"
They all jumped up and hugged me.
"Thank you. I've been thinking about it for a while. It's something I like to do so I might as well turn it into a career."
"And I'm glad you're doing that. It's nice to do something you like but it's even better when you do something you love."
"I agree with Madison and you know with whatever you do we'll always be proud of you."
"Thank you guys so much. You guys don't know how much I love you all."
"Group hug!" Bianca jumped out of her seat and yell.
We all laughed at her and hugged each other. Besides Woody, these girls were my best friends and I never had to question their loyalty. They always gave me good advice whether I wanted it or not. They always gave me a shoulder to lean and cry on. They were the big sisters that I didn't have and I appreciate them so much. I know once we leave this college and go our own separate ways we'll always be best friends and keep in contact with each other.
After our lunch date, I headed home to get some rest. Waking up at five in the morning to go jogging plus go to the gym, cleaning up your house so you won't have to do it later and then going out with your girls will wear you all the way out. To say I was tired was an understatement, beat was the word. Soon as I walked up the stairs to get to my apartment I saw him a couple doors down. He was standing in front of one of his friends door while him and his other friends conversed and joked around. As I looked at him, he looked back at me for a second then I looked away so I could unlock my door.
It's been three months since our incident, well my incident since I was the one who started it, and ever since then we haven't talked or crossed paths with each other. Minus the little staring we do when I come home and he's over his boys house.
If I'm being honest with myself, I'm happy with the way things are and don't blame him for not talking to me. I did some foul stuff to him and if it was the other way around I would be the same way. Except if he stared at me I would be petty and looked the other way pretending like I don't see him.
After putting my things away and slipping into something comfortable, I fixed me a bowl of noodles then I turned to Living Single.
Flashback
Today I was going to give Woody a taste of his own medicine. He's been pranking me for the longest and today I was going to get him back. I admit he got me good with the fake marriage proposal prank but I was going to get him good with this one. I set the camera up in our room, on the dresser, under my Spanish paperback book and my head scarf."Baby!"
"I'm in the room babe."
A few seconds later he came in the room and laid across the bed after kissing me.
