"Noona, you actually look pretty!"
The cool breeze hits Koeun's face as she places her hands in her coat's pockets. It was the first day of winter, meaning it was gonna snow anytime soon. Unlike usual, her hair was styled, she wore nice clothes and actually looked like a normal person.
It was actually the first time Donghyuck saw her like this since the incident. "What makes you say that?" She asks, not really paying attention to Hyuck as she was waiting for the bus to arrive. Now, what really is the reason Hyuck had to compliment her? Is it because of her properly washed hair? Or her clothes? Perhaps her shoes?
Simple, it was her smile. It was the first time Donghyuck saw her noona smiling so genuinely with eyes full of joy. She's really happy, Hyuck thought looking at her noona smiling while waiting for the bus to stop. "Come on, we don't want to be late now" she says as she steps in. What confused him was the reason why she was so happy? Yesterday she was looking so depressed and lifeless and now she's like a whole different persona.
What is it with people and emotions? Hyuck would say but his question never got answered.
Upon arriving at their uni, Koeun left Donghyuck to go to her 8AM lecture. He had a lecture around nine so he still had a lot of free time left. Hyuck felt his stomach grumble, come to think of it he hadn't had breakfast for he thought he was late. With his change, he went to the nearest vending machine but finds Jeno instead.
The boy was pushing all the buttons on the machine not really minding the stares of people around him. "Dude, what are you doing?" Donghyuck asks, "I'm handsome and cute, why won't people date me?" Jeno asks, Donghyuck's face turns into a frown with his question. "Step aside, idiot" he says before pushing him aside.
"You got that pretty face, it isn't really that much of a problem" he continues while munching into a really big cookie. "Plus, look at all these girls staring at you with eyes literally turning into hearts" Jeno looks around and his friend was right. "They're not my type!" Jeno exclaims slightly louder. The girls around them leave one by one, hurt by the pretty boy's comment. Donghyuck shrugs, "Not my prob" Jeno resists the urge to roll his eyes.
"Noona's weird" Hyuck absentmindedly says as he takes a seat at a nearby bench. "She's smiling", Jeno chuckles and sits right beside him. "What's wrong with smiling?" He asks, confused as to why Donghyuck would complain. "She never does that!" Hyuck snaps and throws his hands in the air, "Something's definitely wrong" he insists but Jeno could only laugh at his despair. "Not my prob" With that, Donghyuck rolls his eyes.

Koeun felt happy-no, happy was an understatement, let's say she's delightful. The moment she woke up, Koeun automatically had a smile on her face and that smile isn't gonna be disappearing now.
She easily made it through her lectures and albeit she stayed up all night because of her job she felt fresh and energetic. She felt like having thousands of adrenaline rushes, she could rule the world and lived on top of Mount Everest. She felt so high.
That's why on lunch, Hina confronts her. "Tell me what happened, I want every detail" she says with authority, Jaemin—who was beside her— could only face palm to her girlfriend. "What should I tell you? Nothing happened Hina, calm down" she explains. "Don't use excuses eonni! I know something happened, your smile tells me everything!" She says, now raising her voice. "Calm down, Hina" Jaemin tries but to no success. "Come on, you can tell me" Hina insists but Koeun keeps her mouth shut tight.
