I went up the mountain. I admit, it was for selfish reason. I was never really liked in the village, never welcomed. After I heard the rumor from Frisk, I decided to go. They said that there's an area of flowers that will soften the fall. I got to the top, and walked over to the hole, looking down, frisk was right about how dark it was. The hole looked to be bottomless. Hoping to get a better view of the bottom, I leaned over and tripped over a vine, I screamed as I went head first into the dark void of the hole.

I woke up, in the middle of a circle of wilted flowers. Dust hung in the air, and my back hurt, from hitting the ground. I got up, groaning from the pain in my back. I noticed that I had some cuts on my arms and legs, and my clothes were slightly torn. I looked up, noticing sun light shining down and surrounding the flowers, how, I don't understand. The sunlight wasn't there before I fell. I noticed multiple twigs and roots pointing out, cloth hanging off of one. I noticed it was the same color as my shirt, and sure enough, my shirt had the same sizable hole.

I got up, and started walking, to find a golden flower with torn petals, in the middle of a circular grassy area, that had dead brown grass. Dust particles passed by in the sunlight shining down on it. As I walked closer, I saw it move and look up at me. I jumped back, falling over and screamed as I saw it had one giant eye consuming its face.

"Be quiet... she'll hear you..." It spoke in a low raspy voice. I crawled over and sat in front of it, tilting my head.

"W-what're you talking about? Who'll hear me?" I questioned. The flower lowered its head.

"Toriel... caretaker and tormenter of the ruins." He mumbled, and I tilted my head.

"Tormenter...? But I thought she was loving...?" His head moved upwards and I could feel his eye piercing through me.

"Where'd you hear that..?" He questioned, I noted how his head slightly bopped side to side.

"From Frisk. They told everyone how welcoming and cute all the monsters were." I answered, and the flower froze. His eye widened.

"F-frisk? What do you mean they told you that" He asked, and continued before I could answer. "They caused all this.... This was all caused by a neutral run... " He mumbled. You were confused by what he meant. "Anyways... my name's flowey, how about you?" he asked, his head slightly bopping again.

"(y/n)..." I answered, it felt easier to breath now.

"Well... I'll be helping you through the underground, so hopefully you'll make it out alive." He said, the bopping of his head slowing down. My heart clenched when I heard that last part. 'Hopefully you'll make it out alive'. A shiver ran up my spine as I looked down at the small flower. "She's coming... be careful, her lover is dangerous... i'll see you if you get out..." And with that, he disappeared into the ground. I got up as a goat woman came into the room, her smile seemed nervous with some insanity to it.

"Oh you poor thing, in such poor state. I am toriel, tor-" she cleared her throat, catching herself before she said something she didn't want me to hear. "I am caretaker of the ruins." she adjusted herself. "Please, come with me. I'll take you to my home, and we'll get you fed and properly dressed." She held out a hand. I hesitated and but put my hand in hers.

She led me out of the room, as I looked back to see flower was back in that grassy spot, watching.
