Blood Like Honey (Horrortale sans x reader)

I opened my eyes, gasping to realize i'm by toriels door again. I felt my neck, to feel nothing there. The pain from falling down the stairs was also gone. I heard flowey's voice by my feet.

"i told you not to get too close." He said, i was going to look down at him, when i froze as he giggled. "nine more lives." I looked down to the ground to see he was gone. i sighed, noticing my breath escape my mouth and go up into the air. I walked back to the sign post, i was shivering by this point, noting a t-shirt wasn't the best choice of wear. I went the other way, to meet a tall skeleton.

"HUMAN! YOU ARE AS SKINNY AS A STICK, YOU MUST EAT SOME OF MY SPAGHETTI TO REGAIN SOME ENERGY!" I examanined the tall skeleton, noticing crooked, jagged stained teeth, and a red torn scarf. I remember how the other one wore a stained blue jacket over a stained white shirt. He had a giant crack in his skull and one of his eyes were red. 

Returning to the present, i examined him and his spaghetti, and hesitantly accepted. I took a bite, not noticing how hungry i was before, i started scarfing the food down. The tall skeleton looked really happy. Suddenly i bit down on something really juicy and squishy. Spitting it out, i saw it was an eye. 

I didn't feel hungry anymore, i felt quite the opposite.

"NOW HUMAN, PREPARE TO FACE MY PUZZLES, THAT I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, HAVE CREATED MYSELF!" He said excitedly, going back the way i just came from. I hesitantly followed him, and as i passed the other skeletons booth, i noticed he was asleep. Though, as i was following Papyrus, i saw the other skeleton standing by the tree. Compared to papyrus, he was quiet short, but still somehow taller then me. Papyrus was kneeling down to the ground, using a stick to draw something into the snow. "I'M SORRY HUMAN, I DON'T HAVE ANY PUZZLES READY YET, I JUST BARELY GOT THE ONES FOR THE LAST HUMAN DONE. WHY DON'T YOU TALK TO MY BROTHER SANS AS I PLAN THEM OUT." He said, and i glanced at the unhappy skeleton. I slowly walked over. 

I asked him a few questions and he grumpily answered each. I learned more about the people and the underground, learning that Frisk truly did lie, or left at a better time. I also learned why toriel was the way she was. Soon, silence hung between us.

"Y'know, it was awfully rude of you to come back before i could get a taste of ya" He said, i tensed up, not liking where this was going. "I never got to know what you taste like." 

"SANS STOPP SCARING THE HUMAN" Papyrus scolded his brother, whom just simply rolled his eyes. I noticed a clearing, and started walking over, hoping to sneak by unnoticed, but sans must've heard me walking. Sharp, bloodied bones shot up at the ground pointed at me.

"NOPE" i heard him say, in a deep voice. I stepped back , and the bones fell down. I tried running, but they rose up again, this time one cut my cheek. I yelped and covered my cheek while backing away from the bones and my chance at escaping. Sans seemed to notice and chuckled. He walked over, i tensed up and backed up until i ran into a tree that knocked the wind out of me. Sans smirked, wiping his thumb over the cut and licking the blood off. "tastes like honey." He chuckled as my eyes were wide and i was shivering. The could was seriously getting to me. Sans noticed and frowned. He backed up, grumbling something to himself as he took his jacket off and threw it at my face. "Put it on, i don't like my food frozen." I took the jacket off my head, and slowly put it on, making sure there wasn't anything that'd chop off a limb inside. The jacket reeked of death and blood, but i tried to appreciate him lending me his jacket.

"T-thank you..." I mumbled, and Sans just gave a simple nod. I noticed the stained white shirt was a t-shirt, and he had black shorts that had white stripes going down the sides with pink slippers on. Even those were stained. I walked over to Papyrus, who smiled up at me.

"ARE YOU READY FOR THE PUZZLES HUMAN?" i nodded, and he picked me up, swinging me up, which scared the living crap out of me. "THEN LET THE PUZZLES COMENCE!"

After a few hours, i had finished the puzzle, and i was in the skeletons house, on a "date" with Papyrus after we got into a fight after the puzzles were over. I explored the house, as he told me about each detail, even the pet rock that's seen better days. Papyrus made me more spaghetti, which this time, thankfully didn't have any human parts in it. After i finished, he showed me his room, and then let me sleep on the couch. 

Papy, i learned was very loving and caring. He told me about how he used to want to be apart of the royal guard, but now, he wants out. He told me about how the now Queen Undyne used to give him cooking lessons, and how sans was always a lazybones. He told me about Toriel and Asgore, he told me about all the friends he had in the underground. Then he frowned when he got to the current states, where no one wanted to be his friend anymore. I felt bad for him, i honestly did. 

Sans, he'd tell me a few puns about eating humans. A couple time he asked how the eyeball from pap's spaghetti tasted. Each time he mentioned either, my stomach would turn, and my face would go pale, which sans would find amusement in and laugh. otherwise he'd just stare at me with hunger in his eyes, which would always make me tense. I'm honestly surprised how i haven't been killed in my sleep yet. Or, have i and i just don't know it? i'll never know for sure without flowey. 

Papy, one day told me about how and why the undergound is why it is. He explained, that, after the neutral run, things went down. Resources were scarce, food was on the down low. Monsters became so deprived of food, that everytime a human would come down, it'd be eaten. Humans were no longer a way of getting free. Humans were no longer a sign of hope. 

Humans were a food source. 

And i'm a human.
