On the way to meet Quadd my dad told me that he talked my mom into letting me go to public school. I was so excited but I didn't show it like he always told me. We discussse what In was to do when we arrived to the warehouse where Quadd was waiting.
I sat quietly in the car watching my dad walk into the building. With watchful eyes I kept a keen lookout for my dad even though he told me that it wasnt necessary. But you can never be too safe.
I got out the car when my dad motion for me to come over. Walking up to Quadd I have him a firm and shake and said hi. He was a dark skinned version of Lucious from the show Empire. He even gave off the same vibe as him also. I could tell that he was checking me out and vice versa.
"I still think that she's too young but what the hell I know. She's not my daughter. I mean she's only what 12, 13 years old." Quadd said looking at my dad.
"I'm almost 15. I'm old enough to take care of my damn self. And you're worried bout the wrong thing. We're here to get paid my age is none of your concern." I told him with an attitude. I hated for anyone to doubt me. I guess that looking young for my age was both a blessing and a curse. My dad said that it could be used to my advantage.
"I see what you mean though Mickey. My bad 'lil lady I didn't mean to offend you. I don't want no problems" he said throwing his hands in the air and laughing at me. I saw then that he was going to be a problem. He wasn't taking me serious. I looked at my dad and he shook his head no. He's right this wasn't the time. I slid my friend back in my pocket. Damn I didn't even know that I had grabbed her.
"But if you want me to handle that thing we was talking bout she's the woman for the job."
"You think so? I just might take you up on that." Quadd said to me before walking on a room in the back. He came back carrying a duffel bag and handed it to me.
"I guess I will be seeing you later. You know what you're a pretty girl. What did you say your name was again?" Quadd said looking at me with a strange look on his face.
"I didn't but it's Renity" I told him as I took the bag and walked to the car.
