Christian POV

I wish I remembered anything from before the last 5 years, besides what Leila has told me. She says we got back together and got married before my accident and raised my child even though she wasn't hers. She claims that her son is mine from when we were together previously but I have my doubts. First he looks nothing like me plus I made sure I was damn meticulous about her being on birth control. Depo provera is very much fool proof and you take tests before they administer the shot. Leila saying we were married has never felt right, I feel married just not to her. I haven't even been able to perform sexually since my accident. Leila wasn't happy with that at all. She acted submissive, which I do remember I enjoyed with sex, but no lift off down south.

Since then she has been harder on Helene, stating she too stupid for school and what's the point educating her. I argue with her about this but she gets so angry I fear that she will hurt the child. It also didn't help I wasn't able to access my bank accounts. I thought this was strange and told her I'd contact them to find out what was wrong, she refused and handled it all herself. She never got any funds though and she had to work 2 jobs because of my headaches and needing medication to help with it she didn't want me back at GEH. I missed my work, being a stay at home dad wasn't bad, but I didn't get the same rush. Ethan doesn't listen to me and his mother never forced him to. Part of why I don't believe he is mine biologically but I just let it go.

Helene is my one saving grace, bringing me happiness and unconditional love. She is strong and determined just like me and I know the only reason she isn't fighting Leila is because she knows Leila will not hesitate to take her down a peg. I hate my child living like this, but I take my vows seriously and will not just leave because things get rough.

Leila has come back from work early "Christian we need to get Ethan from school, the office called and there is an incident. I'm sure it's exaggerated because he is an angel, but we need to handle this. I guess we have to bring her also". I sigh "Why do you hate my daughter so much Leila? We married and you knew about her. It's not like she was a secret and if I remembered who her mother was, I would send her to her just to avoid all that you say to her". She looks at me shocked "Where is this coming from Chris? Things have been fine, you haven't said anything about how Helene is spoken to. She is an excuse of a child and if I knew she'd be this much trouble I'd have left her with the bitch". She mumbles the last part and I don't understand it. "Just quit talking and treating her less than Ethan. I treat that boy well even though he is a major troublemaker. Be fair or maybe it's time for us to separate". Leila looks pissed "You don't get to tell me this Christian. Helene is a stupid ungrateful child, be thankful she is still here. Ethan is your son so remember to treat him as such. Divorce is not an option unless you want to lose everything". "Lose what? I don't get to work, I'm sure my business is in the toilet, I don't have my money or credit cards and you won't let me handle any of this. I am not a man to be threatened and you should remember that...I may not remember much but I remember this. Don't push too much Leila". She walks over to me and kisses my cheek tries to touch me which she knows is a big no no. "Leila you know better, no touching me. Even if were married, no touching. Let get this over with so I can take Helene to get ice cream on the way home". She looks pissed but we go to get Ethan.

We walk in the city, Leila doesn't have a car, just something else for her to be pissed at me about but I am enjoying spending time in the city with my daughter. We are passing GEH and Helene and I bump into a woman and child. I look at the pair and the woman seems familiar. She is looking at me like she has seen a ghost. Leila replies rudely "Excuse me" where I look at her weirdly "Sorry for my wife she isn't normally this rude but we apologize it was our fault we weren't looking where we were going". She looks at the me and stares in shock "Christian"? "Yes my name is Christian Grey...this is my wife Leila. My daughter Helene and we are going to pick up our son from school. Do I know you"? She looks at me and sends the boy inside the office. "Yes you could say we know each other. Seeing as I am your wife and this woman abducted you 5 years ago. Do you not know who I am"? Leila looks scared of her . "No I was in a car accident 5 years ago and was lucky my daughter Helene and I weren't badly injured. That's when my wife Leila found us and took care of us". She shakes her head and bends to talk to my daughter "Hello there my name is Ana. Your name is very pretty. Do you go to school"? Leila tries to grab my daughter but she won't let her touch her. "No ma'am Leila says I'm not smart enough for school, I just need to stay home and help with my brother". I am beyond embarrassed and Leila looks pissed. She responds to Helene "Where do you get off telling some lady our business. How many times do I have to tell you this"? She goes to strike the child and the woman Ana pulls her behind her. "I don't think so bitch. You try to lay a finger on this innocent child and I'll take you out". I am shocked how a stranger would feel so strongly for a child and my own wife could care less. she was ready to hit Helene. Leila rushes over to the woman when I see my long time head of security rush from the building. I see him and the woman confer through look and I look at Taylor and crack a slight smile. Taylor greets me first "Mr Grey it's been a long time sir". I look at Taylor and smile "Taylor my God man you have gotten older. How is Gail are you still together". Leila and the woman look at me in shock. "You remember Taylor"? I nod "Of course I remember my head of security, it's been like 6 years hasn't it. Not long after I left Leila because she wanted a relationship and I didn't".
