Annie stared at April. April stood still, with the spear inside of her. If went straight through her, like a pencil through a piece of paper.

Annie froze as well. Face white as snow, and eyes regretful. April fell to Annie, into her arms and Annie caught her.

April couldn't talk, since blood will rise from her mouth.

"April..." Annie whispered. There was nothing they both couldn't do. Annie couldn't save her, and April couldn't live for Annie.

Annie held April until she died. Annie looked at her now corpse. What should she do? What can she do? Nothing was the answer.

Annie couldn't do anything now. She sat there for hours, or that's what it felt like.

Back where April lived, her father gotten angry and started to stab random people until he was carried away for death.

Annie looted April's bag. Annie knew that April would want her to take her stuff so she can live. And also that April told her too, before Annie blew up the food.

Annie walked over to the boys corpse, and looted his bag. She had dried fruit, and... TEA LEAVES?!

If Levi were there, he would kill Annie just for the tea leaves. Annie grabbed all of the stuff, and headed out.

She munch on a few dried plums. Saving the dried fruit, and the jerky for last.

The sun was getting hotter and hotter. Annie felt the heat rise. She guessed it was a heat wave.

She slipped off her hoodie, and tied it around her waste. She felt better, but the heat was getting worse.

Annie wondered how everything was back at home. Reiner, Bertholdt, Eren, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, Armin, Hanji, Mike, Erwin, her father, Levi and Simon.

Annie knew they were all watching her. Mikasa probably was watching, with a bag of popcorn getting ready to cheer when she dies.

Annie thought of Simon. And how cute he was. Annie swore he was Levi, Eren, Armin, and Jean all into one body. That's how cute Simon was.

She missed his laughter, his clumsiness, and how sassy he was. There was this one time where Simon almost fell into the river, and Annie grabbed his shirt and let go of him and watched him roll down into the water. Eren died that day. Annie watched as Simon rose from the water, being all mad as he spit out water and his boots were squishing.

There was another time where Simon had a doctors appointment, and how he didn't want to go. Simon begged Annie to help him, and Annie kept refusing. She watched as he was dragged away, and as Simon screamed her name. Before he turned the corner he yelled, "Your a bitch, you know that right?" Before he was dragged around the corner, and disappeared for his doctors appointment.

Levi liked Simon. More than how he liked Hanji. Annie guessed it was because Simon was more funny.

There was a lot of funny ass memories before the Titan Games started, and how Annie's father got picked, how she volunteered, and is now here in the games while the others all kill one another.

There was no way, Annie could make friends with everyone. She didn't know where Jean was, or if he was even still alive after she saw him before she blew up the food.

Jean was badly wounded. Annie saw so much blood, that she thought she could smell it. Annie wondered how Jean was even still alive.

Speaking of the food supply Annie blown up, Annie was still dealing with her deaf ear. She wanted to win the games. If she does, she would be so sticking rich.

But Jean had to live along with her. He had to. Annie couldn't live without him, or win without him coming home. And besides, if Annie wins with Jean dead, and when the Survey Corps are freed they are all gonna breath down her neck. Especially Mikasa.

Annie thought of the promise she was made. Did Jean have to win too, in order for the Survey Corps to be freed? Annie guessed so, and if she does die and if Jean goes back, they are all gonna be screwed, and all Annie is gonna see is a flash that will probably be when she last seen her father before she went off to training.

Annie stopped when she heard voices close by. She hid behind a huge boulder, that was covered with moss and flowers.

There she saw two other competitors walking right pass her. Annie thought they were blind. How could they not see her? That would've been their chance to destroy her, and they were too blind to see her and take that one chance they all had.

Annie thought they had the eyesight of a mole, or a bat. Maybe even both. If Armin were there, he would've seen her right off the bat and kill her.

Annie got up, and ran for it. Hoping she wouldn't bumped into anyone dangerous on the way.

A scream was heard, and two cannons went off at once.

Annie stopped in her tracks, and turned around. How many people were left now?

It once started with twenty four competitors. The first day six died, and one died later that night. Seven people, then it turned to be two more, Jessica and James, then the Asian kid and April, which makes that thirteen, and two more which was right now.

So, eleven competitors left?

(If I got that wrong, PLEASE tell me. I'm not a math wizard like Armin).

Annie guessed so. Anyway, she took off again. She had to get back to that meadow where the games started to find a better weapon. But at the same time, she also thought if it was nothing but a cleared field with a building in the middle.

Annie needed to also find a bigger backpack, because her backpack was getting way too full, and since it was so small it was very heavy.

Finding a tall enough tree Annie climbed up it. It was now dark, and the heat wave was cooling down.

Annie leaned back, and felt her back pop in relaxation. Then the pictures of the people who died that day came into view. Annie's heart dropped when she saw April, before she disappeared for another picture.

After the pictures, the speakers came on.

"ATTENTION ALL REMAINING COMPETITORS!" The voice boomed. "YOU ALL HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN, SO DON'T GIVE UP FOR THE CROWD! YOU NEED TO TEAM UP WITH ONE OF YOUR PARTNERS FROM YOUR TOWN, SO YOU CAN BOTH WIN!"

Annie only had one thought. And he was still alive.

She sat up, cupped her hands over her mouth, and yelled,

"JEAN!"
