Her voice echoed away. Annie hoped no one else heard her. They could both win. If she finds Jean, and teams up with him, they can both win and go home without them both having to die, or only one person remaining. The game creators are gonna let your partner from your town, win alongside you. This was fantastic news! Will it will be, once Annie finds Jean.

Annie had a new goal now.

Find Jean alive.

It was now early in the morning, Annie packed up and left to go and find Jean.

She checked every possible place, she could think of. She tried the bushes, looked up in the trees, she even kicked the ground to find his body.

Annie's legs were getting tired, but she ignored her aching legs and kept going. She won't rest, until she finds Jean.

Maybe they both won't have to die after all.

It was now in the morning, almost the afternoon. Annie climbed up and down trees, hoping to see Jean somewhere.

Annie was so tired, and the sun was so hot her mind was playing tricks on her. First she saw what looked like a human figure. She thought it was Jean, until she reached it only to find out it was a branch.

The second time, she saw this huge boulder with something behind it. She went up to the boulder, finding a familiar face...that turned out to be a deer.

There were many other times, and they all turned out the opposite Annie had hoped.

Back in town, they watched as Annie searched for Jean.

Knowing where he was.

Annie had no luck, within the hours she had searched. Jean was no where in sight, whatsoever. Annie growled with a groan, until she reached a muddy bank.

She studied the bank, walking around the squishy mud, and as the mud stained her boots.

There were tons of broken logs, with all kinds of bugs living inside of them. Once again, Annie took a breath knowing Jean was impossible to find. Until she heard a noise.

"Annie." A hoarse voice whispered. Annie turned, and searched the muddy bank.

Nothing.

Her ears were now playing tricks on her. Annie turned again, this time the voice was a bit louder.

"Annie." Again, Annie turned to find nothing. "Annie."

Annie was getting irritated. She was honestly about to scream, if she didn't figure out what was going on.

"Annie." The voice said. Annie walked closer to the bank. "Annie!"

She froze.

"Annie...look down..." The hoarse voice said. Annie looked down, only to find something very unusual.

She saw a figure in the mud. Annie kneeled down, and looked closer. She couldn't see anything. Was she looking in the wrong spot?

"Annie..." The voice whispered. Annie widened her eyes, and looked harder.

Eyes then popped out of nowhere.

Jean.
