CHAPTER 8

"So....do you like you room?" I asked once she got to the parking lot.

"Don't be such a dummy. I texted you like barely 5 minutes ago." She said.

Oh shit.

"Anyway I love my room but it's too bad we don't get to be roomies or the fact that they arranged our dorms according to our chosen courses."

"Come on let's go grab something to eat." I said.

We arrived at McDonalds after a few minutes. We went to the counter to make our order but immediately shrieked when we saw who was collecting it.

"Shannelle!!??" Alicia and I shrieked at the same time.

"Hey kittens." She said smiling.

"You work here too?" I asked her

"Gotta pay the bills hon. So what would you like to order."

Alicia and I placed our order and found a suitable table by the corner of the restaurant.

"Roxy I dunno bout you but you've become very popular with the Vanderbilt crew." She said out of the blue.

I immediately choked on my Pepsi when I heard his name.

"What?" Alicia answered for me, seeing my predicament.

"I mean he comes here most of the time but i could help but overhear the conversation that goes on btw them. One was blabbering how he still didn't believe he lives with his parents..."

I smirked at the thought, remembering what I did to get back at him.

"... while the other way blabbering over the fact that the incident was caused by the first and only girl who could max Vanderbilt." She said nudging my shoulder.

"That must have hurt his ego." Alicia said

"Well that's his problem. I didn't ask him to kiss me." I said

Shannelle suddenly gasped.

What?!" Alicia and I asked at the same time.

" You liked it." She said referring to me.
" Liked what?" I asked

" The kiss. You liked it." She pointed out.

" That's ridiculous." I said, taking the final sip of my Pepsi.

"You did. Our conversation was never heading in that direction but you brought it up. Meaning you were thinking about it." Sha said.

"That's not true." I said

" Yeah ...it is. Plus your face is getting all pink and you're getting flustered, which you normally do when you're lying meaning it's true." She said smiling triumphantly

" Roxy that's not fair. You liked the fact that he kissed you and you kneed him." Alicia said wobbling her eyebrows.

" Not you too. Come on, we're leaving." I said as I stood up.

" Already? But we have much to talk about." Shannelle said with a smirk

"Bye Shannelle." I said before pulling Alicia out with me.

" Bye guys." I heard Shannelle call out.

" Oh my gosh. I can't believe you're now famous among the Vanderbilt friends. All because he kissed you." Alicia said once we got into the car.

" I can't believe it either. Leave it all to Vanderbilt to make a big fuss over a small matter.

"But seriously Roxy, did you like it. I can tell if you're lying." She pointed out.

I didn't answer.

"So Shannelle was right. You were thinking about it. Cus you enjoyed it." She said.

"OK OK fine . I admit it. But I hate it. I hate that I liked it and can't stop thinking about it." I said groaning.

"Cheer up... You know what they say about how to get rid of the first is...."

"Is what?" I asked impatiently.

" Well obviously,get a second on." She stated as a matter of factly.

I glared at her while she started laughing. We both came down once I parked the car. We said our goodnights before heading back to our rooms.

I quickly took a shower and put on a pair of shorts and a bag baggy shirt.

I went through my schedule to see my order for tomorrow. Thankfully, classes start by 10 so I had enough time to sleep.

I picked up my phone and decided to finish the book I was reading online. Did I mention wattpad was the coolest app on the planet. What was the name of the book? Bad boy isn't my type. Awesome book

About an hour later, I felt sleepy. So I said a short prayer, put out the lights and zoned out.
