Waking up to see a handsome boyfriend sleeping next too you is something I could get used to.

" You stare too much sunshine." He mumbled with his eyes closed.

" I wasn't looking at you, I was thinking about someone."

"Roxy?"

I nodded.

Turns out Tristan and I met during the opening seminar of the university. He did strike himself as the playboy type so I quickly laid off him, while he desperately tried to get my attention. He's a law student with a great IQ and a great reputation for so- a- one- night -stand. After months of convincing,, we finally agreed to date. It's funny a girl like me got into a must date the playboy situation. Actually, I found out he's Max's best friend. Well that rings another bell. Took me quite a while to fall for him. We got to introduce each other even though max and Roxy haven't admitted their feelings for each other. But we all know what's going on at VALTS and we both hope they pull through.

" She hasn't called in quite some time. That's unlike her."

" So's max. We should check it out?" Tristan asked.

" Tristan grey, you're the best."

" Off course I am. Now get ready. We leave for VALTS in 30. It's time to see what our best friends are up to."

Roxy's pov

I took a quick shower. I needed to be ready for this step I was about to take. Thank God Lucas' machines came right on time. Taking a look at the giant cylinders in front of me, I connected the complement tubes to the quantometer. Releasing the power chord, I connected it to the main power switch. The cylinder came on, a low vibrating sound with the lemon green light shining inside. Connecting the cords to the other cylinders, I set the quantometer on auto control. Hearing the crick of the door, I froze. Turning back, I spotted Gregory standing by the door with a few other scientists.

" What are you doing Roxanne?"

" You were right . It's time to give back what I took."

" I'm not stopping you."

Well that's encouraging.

Walking towards the machine,i hoped what I was doing was the right thing. Standing by the entrance of the Machine, a tear slid down as I thought of max.

" Roxy!"

Great. Now I'm hearing his voice in my head.

She felt a hand grasp hers. She turned back, facing a wide eyed max.

" What are you doing?!"

" I have to do this. I have to give back what's not mine."

" No don't do this. I was wrong to judge you when I didn't listen to you. But now I understand, it's now part of you. And I get that now. Pls don't do this to me Roxy." he pleaded.

She held him close and he enclosed her.

" I like it when you say my name when you're not angry."

Then she connected her lips with his. Holding him gently, she wrapped her hands around his neck while he pulled her closed, hugging her.

Suddenly the computer started the automatic countdown.

"Auto- extraction of solution begins in T- 10-9-8-7-6-5-...

She withdrew from the kiss, pulling herself from him before the door jammed shut.

"-0. Countdown complete." The lady in the computer announced.

" Roxy! Babydoll pls don't do this!" He screamed.

Like magic, her body was entranced in blue and she mouthed ' i'm sorry' before she closed her eyes. Slowly from her legs upwards the blue slowly diminished to reveal her normal skin color. The orb in the quantonium started spinning slowly revealing rays of blue out of the holes. The ceiling of the room slowly opened, plane by plane to allow the orb rake off.

" How could you let her do this. This machine is brand new. What if something happens?" Max said lunging straight for his dad.

" It's all for the best. I'll soon have everything I wanted." Gregory said with a smile.

Gregory didn't expect the blow coming his way until he saw himself face flat on the floor.

" Sir!" Scientists and personally were hysterical, trying to help Gregory up.

" Max!!!!" Alicia, Tristan, Matilda and Oscar called out from the door.

Max's shoulders slumped. " She's..."

" Look dear." Matilda called Max's attention,h sending him a small cylindrical tube.

" I found this in Oscar's lab. I guess this is the quantonium Roxy was talking about but apparently she didn't use all of it."
