...

The following Monday I was up all night studying for an assignment I had to turn in for first period. At times like that, I remembered why partying and hanging out with friends was not the best idea to spend your entire weekend. It was also at times like that, I couldn't exactly concentrate, because I had other thoughts on my mind.

I don't mean thoughts like "I'm hungry" or "I wonder if Niall is actually asleep or if he's fake-snoring". I mean thoughts like "That guy Sander from High School was really fit. I wonder what he does now?". I remember that specific thought circling in my mind that night which ultimately caused me to end up on Facebook to search for his name.

Once I was on Facebook on my laptop, a message almost immediately popped up in the lower right corner of the screen. It was from a girl from the cheerleading team called Emma.

EMMA: Can't sleep?

ME: Ha. I tried to study. Didn't work out so well!

EMMA: History, right? I'm in that class too.

ME: Right! Does that mean you've finished the essay?

EMMA: Yes, but it's shit. I don't think I can help you!

ME: Babe! Just tell me where to find valid information. Apparently you can't use bloody Wikipedia and I left my textbook somewhere in my friend's dorm!!

EMMA: *link attached* Here. This one explains it pretty well.

ME: Thank you Em!!

EMMA: Np. Does this mean I can get inside information on you and Styles? *winking emoji*

I frowned.

ME: What about me and Styles...

EMMA: I thought you hooked up?

ME: We didn't!

ME: I swear.

ME: I would never.

ME: Trust me.

ME: Who told you that?

EMMA: Zayn. He's in my art class. We were talking about the football game, and then I mentioned how good you were, and he said these things about Styles being obsessed with you. *winking emoji*

EMMA: So I asked him some
questions (you can't blame me for being curious) and he said you hooked up once.

I gulped, feeling as if I had swallowed a rock as I typed my following message. I explained the full story to her before doing the research on the guy I had originally came on Facebook for. I ended up finishing the essay at five am when the sun was starting to go up outside our window. And as if that wasn't late enough, my brain decided to stay awake for another hour, because apparently, I hadn't thought enough about Harry Styles.
