We climb on the chariot and hold Niall's hand for a tight grip. I thought he would be mad, but he squeezed harder. "Thanks, I needed a grip," he says. That reminded me of when me and Joci were at Seaworld. On a ride, we were at the top, so high. When we looked down, it was so high I wanted to cry. I have a small fear of heights, so I clenched on to Joci's hand. "Thanks, I needed to hold on to something," she says. That's when the ride went down. I started to scream. As we went in a loop, I looked at Joci and smiled. "That's what friends do," I say.
Niall is still smiling at me, like Joci did as the ride went down. "That's what friends do," my shaky voice says, trying to recreate the moment. That's when the chariot starts to move. It was less of a roller coaster and more of a speed as the lazy river. I would've lost balance, but I had Niall. I stared ahead and made a I-will-kill-you face. Instead of being scared, the audience roared. Riker is super smart! I stayed that way until we came to a stop. As President Snow walks out, I get an idea. Niall is famous enough, but I am going to give these people to remember him more. Give them a show. Everything counts I entertain Panem. I look at Niall and gave him a brief thumbs up. We both start to scowl at him as he starts talking. That's when the chariots turned. It was a while until we stopped and unloaded. Riker and Ross jump up and hug us so tightly I thought I would loose air. "Perfection," Ross said, "I was scared myself." I hope that got us sponsors because we needed all the help we could possibly get to bring Niall home. I start getting a mental image in my mind of Niall's homecoming. He unloads the train and opens his arms. Samantha sprints through the crowd and jumps in them. Her eyes go into her shoulder and make them soggy. They do a soft kiss and they both start crying. Then, my mind makes another image. Liam, my family and friends gathered around my grave and hugging it, sobbing on the flowers.
"SNAP OUT OF IT," Niall yelled. My vision blurred away as Niall was in front of me. "You ok," he asks. I must of started to daydream, and didn't pay attention. "Yeah," I say. We head to the elevator. I was hoping for more people, but there was only one person. She looked a lot like a princess, who was without a doubt from district 1. She had a perfectly oval shaped head, soft blue eyes, perfect lips, snow white teeth, amazing dress and makeup, blonde hair falling in curls behind her back, and a red heals. I stand next to her, in silence. It was silence until she started going at it. "NIALL," she yells. She starts to fangirl so hard I think she will break the elevator. After a few more seconds, she leaves the elevator at her stop. "TTYL," she says waving. The way she walks, the way she flips her hair, and the way she thinks she is the queen ticks me off, but she is going to get tons of sponsers. That means I need her as an ally. "That happened," Niall said akwardly. The elevator dings, and releases it's clenching arms. We both walk out at the same time. Our room was spectacular. A flat screen tv, mahogany tables and chairs, leather beds, and a crystal chandeliers. It was kinda nice to enjoy such richness before killing other kids.
That's when the strangest thing happened. A boy walked up and gasped. He made some weird hand signals that I had no idea what they mean. He looked familiar. Like I saw him before. I saw him as he kissed Haley, they way he told us about the rebellion, the way he took care of Haley before he got taken away. I knew I would never see him again, but BOY was I wrong.
Because it was Louie!
