My body reacts before my mind does. I forget about the ladder and leap off the top bunk. Time seems to slow down as I am in the air as everything zooms past me. I finally hit the ground on my knees. In a second, they start to gush blood. "Don't worry about your stupid knees, Samantha needs you," my head screams. It was right. I grab the ladder and stand up. I wobble a little bit but I start to run. I struggled a bit but it got normal.
Outside was a zoo. People were screaming over the phone, running around, and praying. I push through the crowd to Samantha's room. The only one there though was Niall. He was banging on the door. "What's going on," I say running up to him. He looks at me as if he just saw a monster. "I can't get to Samantha," he yells. I run to the door but it doesn't open. I gasp before I bang it more. "SAMANTHA," I yell. "Let me in," Niall stutters weakly. Then it opens. "Samantha," be both ask. The women shakes her head.
A nurse.
Something was wrong.
"I need I get to Samantha," Niall yells. She shakes her head. "Please," I beg. "When it is over, you may see her, now go away," she says. She runs back in the room. "No," Niall yells and sinks to the floor. The presses his head to the door and sobs. "I love you," he says. I sink the the ground. He puts his head in my chest and crys. "There there," I say stroking his head, "She is going to be," I tear up. My eyes get misty and I start to bawl. "Okay," I finish. I put my head on his shoulder and we bother cry. "I love her," he crys. "Me too, she will be okay, I promise," I barely stutter. I put my head in my knees and cry. Niall cradles me and crys more. Niall puts his hands to the door and starts to sing All of Me. I sing with him. Then we both fall to the ground and sob into the floor. A few minutes later, the screaming stops and we sit up. The same nurse comes in. "You may see her know," she says. We both get up and run to her room. Samantha is smiling in her room. She looks at us and starts sobbing of joy. "Niall," she says. Niall breaths heavily and runs up the ladder and to her. "Samantha, I was so worried, I love you and," he stops and gasps. He holds out something.
