Samantha shoots the arrow at it, forcing it to release Ivy. The mutts soon smell something, forcing them to move away in the distance. Samantha and Niall both start to cry. I scoop up Ivy at bring her up to the surface. She was covered in blood, her head was halfway off, and her left food was off. All the other rebels surrounded her. I back up and look at her. Samantha and Niall hug again and cry, like they were about to die. I was about to leave, but I felt terrible. "Oh Samantha and Niall, were so sorry," Dad said. I failed to save her. I am the worst friend ever. "I am the worst friend ever, it was my job to save her and I failed, I am sorry," I say bursting into tears. I walk up to Ivy. Still so young, still so beautiful. I remembered the song from my dream.

Deep in the meadow

After that verse, I think about roses growing around her.

Under the willow

A willow, a beautiful willow. I sing the whole song. Petting her, kissing her forehead, and hugging her. I look at Ivy again. I scoop her up and run to the nearest meadow. Niall and Samantha follow. I reach the meadows. I go to a flower patch and bury her. I pick the flowers and make a shape with them.

IVY

A BLESSING TO OUR LIVES

"It's beautiful," Niall's shaky voice says. "Goodbye my love," Samantha says. We head out of the meadows, looking bummed. She was so young and beautiful, and it's my fault she's dead.
