"Move." Hercules snarls at the crowd as Thomas makes his way through the field." Or get killed in the process. " Everyone moves out of the way quickly, some even nod their heads at him.

Thomas' eyes don't flicker to me once. They stay trained on John and grow darker and darker with each step.

Don't kill him Thomas. He needs to live.  I'll let you play later. I give him a warning look around John's shoulder and he looks.... shocked.  His steps falter and he stops a few feet away from the lake. Though I can see  the murder that's dancing in his eyes.

"Let him by." Thomas growls and motions to me with a flick of his hand. John looks between us before slowly moving away between us. The water around my leg is flooded with the maroon color of my blood.

I limp onto the shore and anger melts into concern. He leans down and fingers set to work healing the wound. After a few minutes of silence he stands and smiles at me. His eyes shine with love and happiness.

"I understand why you cant tell me who you are." He bends down and whispers in my ear. I smile and look at him as his hands rest on my lower back.

"And why's that one, King Jefferson?" I study the cool night eyes and he gives a glowing smile back.

"Because you're mine. My Alex. "He hugs me and I look at Laf.  He gives a  soft smile and shrug. It's a playful one that holds laughter. " Well in the future any way."

"I knew you had a brain in there somewhere." I smile and he craddles my head in his hands.

"And must I say, I couldn't have chosen a finer partner." He kisses my cheek softly. "No one  can be as smart, or handsome, or kind, or forgiving as you. You're the kindest person I've ever met. Just know, I will always love you.  You're my mate. And I'm yours."

"You're making me blush." I smile at him and he rolls his eyes." Thank you Thomas, but you must be you. We can't change history, I need the time stone so I can go back.

"Time stone...." He mutters and eyes study mine. I freeze and my breath catches in my breath ." Hey, its okay."

"Why aren't you going to hand me in to burr?" I gulp and watch him worriedly. "You told me that you were mean and you were rude and unrefined. "

"I sound like a smart man." He smiles and puffs chest out. I roll my eyes and  smack his shoulder.

"Whatever you say Thomas." I smile and shake my head.  He takes his hands in mine and presses something into my hands.  He holds up his left laced with mine.

"This has my mother's ring in it. Im bound to lose it at some point and time." He does. I remember him telling me about it. " Hold onto it for me. It's the only thing I have of herand I want to give it to someone special. "

"Of course Thomas." I nod and he shows two dimples in his cheeks. His eyes look at the gold ring on my hand.

"Though looks like Ive already given you a ring." He winks and I roll my eyes." Im a lucky man."

"As am I." I kiss his lips and he blinks in suprise before holding up my right hand. I spot Laf holding back the crows out of the corner.

"Time stone." He mutters against my lips." Be careful. I love you "

"I love you too. " And hes gone, leaving the stone humming in my hand. I look at laf and he makes an urging motion.

Think. Think.  Think. I hold it tightly and the world goes dark.
