chapter 4: taking sides

The next day, I wake up and look at my phone. it says 12:30, geeze I havent slept in this late since highschool. usually when im really hung over waking up early helps.

I crawl out of bed and decide to text logan to see if he wants to go to the gym. ofcourse, he says yes. pretty soon, I am on the eliptical side by side with logan. "you know, I have been talking to ryan and he said that the only reason ge got with ashley was because lola has been a bitch lately," logan says and my mouth falls open.

"exuse me?" I say in disbeleif. " I cant beleive that you are actully taking his side! I know I am roomates with ashley, but I am beyong pissed at her. and if you actully think that he can just hook up with another girl because she is being a "bitch" than you are seriously a fucking idiot." I say dryly.

I literally run out of the gym, already dialing lola's number. I tell her everything that he said and she says that she is just fine because she has been flirting with travis and she seems to really have a thing with him. I know she is ok with it, but I still am really upset that logan would just take his side after everything that he did to Lola.

I decide to call my mom when I get back to the apartment, because lately I have found myself ignoring her. we talked for about 2 hours and she told me that she is seeing a guy named richard, and he has a daughter named Taylor.she tells me about how they went camping together, and how she has never been this happy since she was with my dad. it was nice to talk to her because for once, I didnt have to focus on all of the drama in my life.

I go to in n out to grab a burger and fries, then I sit on the peir by my dorm and watch the surfers getting ready for their night session. as I enjoy the burger, logan calls. I click ignore, which just makes him call more. I soon get sick of it, so I just power off my phone and finush up my dinner.

When I get back to the dorm, ashley is waiting for me, but I ignore her and tell her we will talk tomorrow and that I am beyond exhausted.
