"All right, then." I've returned to world of my dreams, my Third Life!
First, I should check the News and my Status.

It looks like they streamlined the status by removing displayed stat values. I'm guessing that the values from before still hold true, but the staff thought that not seeing would be better. I can concur; it adds more to the "life" idea, since in reality we can't see quantified values of our strength or endurance but at least have a general idea of it.
Crap, that's a tangent. Back to original purpose.
[New Update: The New World]
[Thank you for making Third Life the most popular full-dive in the world! In commemoration of this event, we have opened up a new quest path to our players.]
[Tarantella has left Ilidas Forest and is rampaging in the areas surrounding the first town Illios! He and his minions are threatening to overtake the First Town and must be stopped. A scout from the second town, Anais, has discovered plans to invade First Town in two weeks. Defeat Tarantella before he conquers Illios completely, and save the town! Talk to Argus in Illios to register for the defending army or to learn more about the event.]
[Note from Developers: We are VERY serious when we say Tarantella will conquer the town.]
Okay, seeing that I'm a guardian of Ilidas and I have never heard of Tarantella, I'm certain they chose to blame - I mean, credit Ilidas for the creation of their new raid boss which sounds very much like a relative to Lord Gayettse, and likely related to the corruption event a few weeks ago. Moving on.
[The Guild System has been implemented! Talk to the Guild Manager in the Tavern]
Not interested, so I'll skip that. It's probably something about guild benefits and whatnot.
[We hope you didn't skip over the guild explanation; we believe it'll play a key part in the development of society in this game.]
Oops. I'll just ask Nic later.
[The Second Town, Anais, is now open to players! To reach Anais, you must defeat the Area Boss of Illios, Revideo! However, Revideo has left for the Boghr Mountains in order to train himself for his "inevitable" battle with Tarantella (not that he plans to come anytime soon) and will not return until the danger has passed. Live your Third Life!]
So, basically, regardless of our wishes, the only way to move onto the next town is to beat Tarantella. Maybe I should join... Nah, archery's not a popular class. I'll just get pushed out of line over and over again. I'll just do my business and leave.
"It is your... respons...ibility to at least help... down Tarantella."
I near flipped at the sound of Loeta's voice. "I'm not in Ilidas anymore. How can you communicate with me? You said your power is limited to the forest."
"You... standing at... boundary."
"I see."
"Taran... only eliminated... Guardian. He... jealous of... position."
