Marry Me

She wants to get married, she wants it perfect
She wants her grandaddy preaching the service
Yeah, she wants magnolias out in the country
Not too many people, save her daddy some money

Levi's POV
I'm standing in the the church house talking to Hanji about the event taking place in just a few minutes. "She wants to move to the country, have a nice house with magnolias blossoming. Her grandad also came here just to preach the service for his little (nickname). " Hanji told me. I started to block her out. Looking around the sanctuary I realized that all these flowers and decorations must of cost almost a fortune.

Ooh, she got it all planned out
Yeah, I can see it all right now

I'll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back
I'll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask
I'll try to make it through without crying so nobody sees
Yeah, she wanna get married
But she don't wanna marry me

I stand towards the back as the Wedding March starts playing on the piano. I look at the doors beside me to see her walk in. Her (hair color)  hair was done in an elegant bun with a few strands framing her face. Her dress was long, dragging on the floor as she walked to her soon to be husband. She looked stunning, like she walked straight out of a fairytale. I reached in my pocket and pull out my flask filled with whiskey, which so far is the only thing that is keeping me from interfering. I look at the ground as I feel my self tear up, thinking about past memories.

I remember the night when I almost kissed her
Yeah, I kinda freaked out, we'd been friends for forever 
And I always wondered if she felt the same way
When I got the invite, I knew it was too late

~flashback to high school~

It was the night of the homecoming football game. I was sitting on the bench waiting to be put back in the game.
"Levi!" I turn around to see (Y/N)  standing in a green t-shirt with our schools symbol on the front, the wings of freedom, she turned around and pointed to her back where the word 'Ackerman' was written in her handwriting. I turned back to the game with a small smile on my face.

~after the game~

After the successful win against the Military Police High School I met up with (Y/N) and Hanji at the "Titans Diner". After a few minutes I felt a hand on mine, I looked over at the (hair color)  on my left. Hanji left soon after, I don't clearly remember how we got to the point where I almost kissed her, but I do remember it was ruined by the Jaeger kid. After she left I ran my fingers through my hair wondering if she would ever feel the same way.

~3 years later~

I looked down at the card in my hand, realizing that I finally got the answer to my own question years ago

You are formally invited to the wedding of

~flashback over~

And I know her daddy's been dreading this day
Oh, but he don't know he ain't the only one giving her away

I watched as her dad gave her away the man I called my best friend for the past 2 years. As the ceremony goes on I feel the flask get lighter as I keep drinking it's contents.

She got on her dress now, welcoming the guests now
I could try to find her, get it off of my chest now
But I ain't gonna mess it up, so I'll wish her the best now

The ceremony has finally ended and I see her greeting every guest. She sees me and smiles that beautiful smile of hers. I want to tell her how I feel, how I've always felt.
"Hey Levi, I'm glad you made it. I thought you would be busy with work." I don't wanna mess up her big day,  I love her too much. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. I hope your happy with Erwin. Best of luck to you both." I walk away to my car in get in, turning it on I hear a song that reminds me of us, and let the tears begin to fall freely.
