People always talk about the man in the moon, but they often forget about the stars. The blazing balls of fire that cast light onto the moon.

People often forget the story of the man in the stars and how he yearned for someone to love.
The dark, unrelenting loneliness of space brought chills to the normally spunky man and it enveloped him until he could no longer handle it.

And so, as the story goes, he found the moon. What a sad little rock it was, floating so far away from the Earth.

The man on the moon felt the chill of the vast outer space as well. He had no fire to warm him.

The stars found him. He smiled at him and welcomed him. The moon embraced the stars.

" Welcome home."

The man in the stars introduced himself.

" I'm Sirius. What is your name?"

The man on the moon stared back, perplexed.

" My name," he asked, " No one has ever asked for my name. I suppose I don't have one."

Sirius was puzzled but drifted deep in thought to think of a fitting name.

" I'll call you Remus."

The man on the moon smiled, " Remus. I like it."

And so the warmth of the stars comforted the moon and light was cast upon it. Remus was no longer invisible to the people of the planet below him. They grew to love the man in the moon and he was happy.

But, he too, forgot about the man in the stars. Sirius would call out to his precious moon, but he received no reply.

" Remus!"

His voice echoed in the empty space as he watched Remus smile down at Earth.

" Remus! Don't you remember me?"

The man turned to face the stars.

" Remus... I haven't heard that name in years."

" Well what do you go by now?"

" I have many names. Sin, Mani, Tsukuyomi, just to name a few."

" I see. Do you remember me, Remus?"

Remus stared into the huge glowing eyes of the man in the stars.

" I do remember you. You gave me warmth."

Sirius smiled and opened his arms.

Remus walked into them slowly, embracing the man after so many years.

An eclipse.

That's what the people of the earth saw. When the moon embraces the sun.

A sign that the Remus will never truly forget Sirius even if he can no longer hear him.

A total eclipse of the heart...

I'm not super happy about how that one turned out. Some concepts are more difficult to write down for me than others and this proved to be one of those concepts. I'll try to write something better soon. Have a safe and happy holiday!
