It had been almost a week since Sirius had stepped off of that soft sand and he was getting antsy to go back. He was running a lie over and over in his head that he was going to tell James, there was no way that he'd let Sirius go surfing. Sirius would never hear the end of it. He wasn't sure if he could trust Peter not to snitch him out so he didn't tell him either.

Finally an opportunity arose for Sirius to hop on his bike and travel it on the open road. The mountains were beautiful, wildflowers sprouting through freshly wetted earth, and yet Sirius kept his eyes ahead. A far greater beauty awaited him where he was going.

The ocean waves crashed with a great boom, sending the noise miles away from the source. Sirius could hear the sound as he approached and gladly accepted the salty ocean mist when it flew over his face.

He drove into the driveway of that same burger shack and kicked out the stand. He let his hair flow free from his helmet and prayed to some otherworldly being that he didn't have helmet hair. He walked through the door, hearing a little bell ding to alert the cashier of his presence.

" Hi welcome to- oh god, not you again!"
The redhead crossed her arms in annoyance.

" Don't worry, Red. I'm not here to pick a fight. I'm just lookin for someone. He's about this tall and has wavy sand hair."

Her face lit up in recognition.

" Remus?"

" Yeah! Have you seen him?" Sirius smiled and eagerly awaited her answer.

" Waddya want with him? Last time you were here you nearly tore his throat out!"

"Oh that? Uh.. that was just some friendly banter is all, nothin' personal."

" Uh huh, sure. Why don't you come back later and I'll let him know you were here," the suspicious look on her face grew and she showed him out of the restaurant.

Sirius pouted and sat down on a log, staring off into the distance.

" Still haven't learned your lesson with those boots, huh? Why the long face?"

He looked up to see Remus staring down at him with that signature smirk.

" Remus! Boy am I glad to see you!"

" Oh yeah, you crusin' for a bruisin'?" Remus rolled up his sleeves and winked at Sirius.

" No. I just wanted to see you again, is all"

" Ready for round two of surfing?"

" Yeah, that sounds great actaully."

Remus chuckled and pulled Sirius onto his feet, " As much as I'd love to see you in nothing but a swim suit as soon as possible, I just got out from a long day of surfing. Mind if we grab a bite to eat before we go out again?"

" Sounds good to me as long as your ginger friend doesn't bite my head off."

" Oh, Lily? Yeah, she can be feisty, but she's sweet when you get to know her. She'll love you."

" Tell her that, " Sirius muttered under his breath. Remus' flip flops made a soft crunch over the sand as they headed back towards the burger shack. The bell dinged over head and Remus waved to lily at the counter.

" Hey, Lils."

" Oh, hey Remus. Some biker dude was lookin' for you earl- oh. I see you found him. Never mind then."
