Wyatt's POV
My nerves in this delivery room right now are all over the place, it's so bad that I can't even focus on what I'm actually doing, and besides all that, this woman right here is giving me the blues. We've been in here trying to get this baby out for about 3 hours. I have tried to induce labor 3 times and this lil sucka right here does not wanna come out, so I stepped out to give them a little break; and even though it sounds like Im complaining, it was a great distraction because I couldn't get the engagement out of my mind. Although things between us are were seeming to be going quickly, I wasn't tripping at all. I mean come on, we just moved in together and now we getting married, next week we'd be going through the adoption process for our 3rd child. When I said it that way, it sounds like a couple of lesbians.
LOL
But in all seriousness, I couldn't be happier with the man God had sent my way. With all the shit we both have been through, it was about time that we were getting to a place where life was finally starting to give us something back; a chance for real love to come and play a major part in our lives.
Just as I was about to gown back up and walk into the room to check on my pregnant patient, the nurse, Allen, walked out with the driest look on his face. "Don't even waste your time with all that. That baby ain't coming out no time soon."
Allen
I had to laugh because I could tell he was upset. "Still no luck?"
"Not an ounce. I'm missing dinner with this guy I just met all for this bullshit right here."
I've known Allen for a while, he was one of the only cool people that worked at this damn hospital. Although he was slightly shorter than me, he was packing muscles and had a bad ass physice. Almond skin tone and rich brown eyes had made him the eye candy for the entire staff, and that deep voice did him justice as well. When we first met, I didn't know he was gay, and it wasn't until he left his phone at the nurses station and I saw a message from the guy he was talking to at the time, that I found out and asked. When I asked him he started laughing nervously, I quickly realized that he wasn't out and that I just probably put him in an awkward situation, I immediately felt embarrassed for over stepping and apologized. I told him I too was gay and wasn't in the business of outing people and ever since then, we've been pretty cool.
I took off my gown and threw away my gloves. "Tell me about this guy again."
"His name is Cory and he's Haitian, and fine as can be. I think he went to USC and ran track."
I walked over to the nurses station and he followed. "That's whats up, what did he major in?"
"Global communications, he wants to work for the United Nations as an ambassador. He's so smart and funny. And peep this , the boy can cook."
I threw my hands up in praise. "Thank Jesus! Cus we all know yo ass can't cook." I said laughing.
"Haha, you got jokes. You know we can't all have boyfriends from the south who can cook."
