I survived the thinning

Part 11: NO!!!

Blake POV:

I put my arms around her and hug her tightly. I whisper into her ear "I love you Laina". She looks up and says "don't you ever scare me like that ever again.". I was about to respond when I saw a guard running towards us. I let go of Laina and punch him in the face. He hits me back but I kick him in the stomach and then knock him out.

Laina POV:

As everyone who was taken to the thinning begins to fight the guards, Blake lets go of me and punches a guard. I'm suddenly grabbed and dragged away from Blake. I put my hand in a fist and throw quite the punch. I hit the guard in the face and stand up. I try to run from him but two more officers show up. They grab onto both of my arms and cover my mouth.

Blake POV:

I turn away from the guard I knocked out and don't see Laina there. I look around frantically, until I lay my eyes on her. Two guards have her and are dragging her towards a gas chamber. One of them hits her over the head and knocks her out. I now know exactly what they're going to do and I can't let that happen.

Aryia POV:

I watch as Blake frantically tries to make his way past the guards. Suddenly two officers grab him and begin to pull him back. He continues to struggle with all he's got because he knows what will happen to Laina if he doesn't. I run over and hit one of the guards that's holding him over the head, but it's not enough to knock him out.

Blake POV:

I take advantage of Aryia hitting the guard and push him away. The other guard hits me in the face, causing a bloody lip. I still hit him and run towards Laina. I'm too late... I'm too late... run faster!!!!

Laina POV:

I begin to come to and open my eyes. The first thing I see is Blake frantically running towards me. I keep getting pulled away from him. Why? Who's pulling me? I turn and see the two guards that are pulling me. I begin to struggle, only making them slow down a bit. All of a sudden, they stop running and throw me into a glass chamber. They slam the door right as Blake reaches the door.

Blake POV:

I run into the door and try to open it. Laina quickly stands up and begins to pound on the glass. I run over to the guard as he presses a button. I punch him in the face and turn towards the panel which is full of buttons. I turn to look at Laina as the chamber begins to fill with gas. I frantically press a bunch of buttons but none of them work. I go back and stand in front of Laina.

Laina POV:

As the chamber begins to fill with gas Blake runs over and stands in front of me. He begins to punch the glass but it doesn't budge. I begin to cough and it hurts. A lot. I try to take a deep breath in but I can't. It feels like my lungs are on fire. I begin to feel weak and fall to my knees. Blake kneels down and continues pounding on the glass. I put my hand on the glass and Blake puts his and over mine. He begins to cry. He says "Laina stay with me okay? We'll make it through this. I'll get you out."
