I survived the thinning

Part 8: Till death do us part

Blake POV:

The guard hits me one last time and ties me up and throws me against the wall. Not too long after Mason King walks back in with unconsious Laina in his arms. I screamed "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?! I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU HURT HER!!!" He throws her into a chair and secures her arms and legs in the straps.

Laina POV:

I begin to wake up and the first thing I hear are the cries that are coming out of Blake's mouth. I look over at him as he weakly slides down the wall. I say to the guard "Kill me and let him go." I look at him as tears begin to go down his cheeks "Take care of Corinne and Joey for me Blake... tell them both that I love them." Mason King pulls out a gun and points it at Blake. "NO!!! JUST POINT THE GUN AT ME." I scream. As he turns and points the gun at me and prepares to shoot, he gets a phone call.

Blake POV:

He begins to argue with the person on the other line. In the end it sounds like he lost. He says "Fine. I'll let them go." He puts his hands up and points at Laina and two other kids. Suddenly Laina's restraints come undone and king says emotionless "Congratulations you've passed. You may go to the rec room." He then pauses and says " put him in a chair and take her to the rec room."

Laina POV:

One of my restraints becomes undone and I pull the other ones until they let go. I stand up and run to Blake as fast as I could. I wiped the tears away and looked at Blake, I leaned in and put my forehead on his.

Blake POV:

As she rests her head on mine I look up at her and close the distance between us. She puts her hands on the back of my head and kisses me back. She looks at me with that same worried expression as when she met me for the first time.

Laina POV:

As a guard came up behind me and grabbed me I started to scream, "BLAKE?!??!! NO!! WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!" I hear Blake say, " it's okay. I love you. It's okay I did this..."

Blake POV:

They picked me up and dragged me to another room, they dropped me and threw scrubs at me. They said "put those on now." They waited for me to change, and then dragged me back into the room. They grabbed my head and sat me down in laina's seat. Then they put the restraints on me and looked at Mason King. He said "let the thinning begin!!"

Laina POV:

After they dragged me out, they said, "you may go home now..." I began to run towards the doors. I open them and outside I see Corinne and Joey crying. I run over and Corinne screams "LAINY! YOU'RE ALIVE?! THEY TOLD US THAT YOU DIED!!!" I grab them both and hug them as hard as I could. I said "let's go home".

Blake POV:

The guards started to pull needles out, and everybody knew that they were going to die. The guard in front of me grabbed my head and pulled it up, then injected me. She looked at me and whispered "I'm so sorry".

Laina POV:

I walk home and leave the kids with Ms. Birch. I run back up to the school and see guards carrying Blake. I turn around and begin to cry. I try to cover my mouth and muffle my sobs. I ask myself "why the hell did i tell him to leak those?!". I turn and look at peaceful Blake and say, "I love you too, and I'm sorry Blake...". Right as they close the doors of the van, I see Blake's chest move up and down. Is he alive?
