Once I got to New York. I stood outside of the apartment building; it was tall and gorgeous. Good looking out dad, I thought to myself. I got my things one at a time going inside. It was huge! Spacious too. There's a lot of work for me to do especially hanging things up. It was already furnished which was a good thing, all I needed was groceries and to move in. I went back down to the car grabbing a few things to take back upstairs.
"Hey, is this yours?" A guy asks with short brown hair, an arm full of colorful tattoos with a muscular hot body. Hey, what the hell, I'm single now.
"Yeah. Thanks."
"No problem, I'm Mike by the way, and you are?"
"Adrian," I said reaching out to shake his hand while my other hand was holding onto the small basket of clothes.
"Here, let me help you with that, a fine woman like you shouldn't be carrying all of this by yourself," He says taking the basket away from me. I chuckled closing the trunk making my way up to the apartment.
"Thanks. You shouldn't have helped."
"Don't mention it. Nice to know we're neighbors. I'm right across the hall, and if you need anything. I'm here."
"Thanks," I said with a smile. He smiled too walking out. I closed the door looking around, getting started to unpack and change some things around to make it look more fabulous. I sat down out of breath from painting, unpacking, etc... Soon as school started, I got used to everything and everyone. Me being anxious began to fade away, I had tons of studying to do. There was a knock on the door; I quickly got through highlighting some information in the textbook going to the door.
"Y'know, it's tough to find you in New York," Justin says. I screamed hugging him.
"Oh my god! What are you doing here?"
"I just got finished with a concert here; I had to stop by and see how you were doing. How are you? You like my NYU shirt?" He says pulling away.
"Yes, I love the shirt. I'm good, and you could've invited me, I'm stuck here with words glued to my eyes trying not to doze off," I said with a chuckle. "Come in, come in," I added inviting him inside.
"Sorry I didn't want to interrupt you. Wow, It sure does look like a girl lives here." He said scanning every inch of the place.
"Hey, it looked like a dude used to live here when I moved in. I had to change up some things." I said closing the door.
"This picture I gave you. The one, a painter, drew of us...I can't believe you still got it."
"Yeah, of course. I love this picture. It's my favorite." I said smiling.
"Mines too. So who's the lucky guy?" He asked sitting down.
"There is no guy. Who's the lucky girl?" I asked.
"No girl, just focusing on music right now. It's so good to see you, Adrian, I was dying to see you. I was on stage thinking about finally seeing you; it was killing me. It's been weeks; I just didn't want to see you on the other end of the phone or hear your voice. I had to come to see you."
