Chapter 8

(Pov Nina)
"Nina, how many times do I have to tell you that you can't sleep at guys house without my permission?!" My mom yelled. "Mom! I'm grown. I know what I do!" She raised her eyebrows. "Oh is that so? Tell me what you had for dinner." I wanted to give an answer but I didn't know what to say. What did I eat last night? I forgot. "I-I don't remember." I said and looked down. "See. You've been drinking. I don't know what happened to you but since you've been hanging out with that Grayson kid you've changed." I rolled my eyes. "This has nothing to do with Grayson okay? Gosh mom can you just please stop being so worried about me? You can trust Grayson." I yelled back. "Are you saying that because you slept with him?" I widened my eyes. "Mom stop!" I wanted to go to my room but she grabbed my wrist. "I wanna get to know him. Invite him over for dinner tomorrow." I looked at her. "Okay. No problem." I said with a smile and went up to my room. I called Grayson.

"Hey baby girl."

"Hey. How are you doing?"

"Good. What about you? What did your mom say?"

"Well, believe it or not. She invited you over for dinner tonight." Grayson didn't say anything until a couple seconds later.

"Y-yeah, I actually have to do something tomorrow. I'm sorry."

"Okay well what about lunch?"

"I'm so sorry but I'm busy all day tomorrow. Maybe another time?"

"Oh, yes sure. Well what are you gonna do?"

"Nothing really. Not important. Hey, I gotta go. Talk to you later?"

"Y-yea alright. Bye." He hung up. He's acting weird. I'm kinda disappointed because he can't come. I wonder what he's gonna do tomorrow.

I woke up at 12:30 pm. It's Sunday morning. The house was quite. My parents didn't work on Sunday. They must have gone somewhere. I got out of bed and took a quick shower. I didn't tell my mom that Grayson wasn't coming yet. I'll tell her when she gets home. I went downstairs to see if Wren was awake. I saw him sit on the couch with a bowl of cereal. He looked up. "Good morning sleepy head." He said. I laughed and rubbed my eyes. "Morning." I went to the kitchen and made myself breakfast. "Where are mom and dad?" I asked while sitting next to Wren. "They went to get breakfast together at some restaurant." He said. "Without us?" I laughed. "Because you got up so late. They didn't want to wake you up." I laughed and ate my breakfast. "So how are you and Grayson? Are you two like a thing?" He asked. "I don't know." I said and shrugged my shoulders. "What do you mean you don't know. You slept with him." He said and started laughing. "Who told you that?!" I asked. "No one. It's obvious you did." Said Wren. "How is that obvious?"

"Well. You went out with a guy. You got a little drunk. You go to his house. Drunk. You like each other. You don't come home all night. Of course you had sex with him. You can't deny it." He said laughing. "Oh come on Wren. Going to a guys house drunk doesn't mean I had sex." He raised his brows. "Did you have sex or not?" He asked. "N-no.. I mean. Sort of." I said embarrassed. "I told you!" He said and punched my arm playfully and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Awe, my little sister is growing up." I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Shut up."

"He better be a good guy though." He said and showed off his muscles. I started laughing really hard. "You're an idiot." I said and got up stairs. "I swear to god I will kill him if he does anything to you!" I heard him yell. I laughed to myself and sat on my bed with my laptop. I FaceTimed my friend Ally. I saw her face pop up on the screen. Her boyfriend Kyle sat next to her. "Hey." I said and waved. "Hey N, what's up?" She asked with a big smile on her face. It's so good to see how happy Kyle makes her. "Nothing much. Just had breakfast. How are you two doing?" I asked. "We're great. We're actually going to this bar that opened today. It's new and it's called 'The Firestone'. Maybe you can come too." She offered. "Yea! Sounds fun. I'll text you when I'm ready." I said "Alright babe. See ya!" Ally said and I hung up. I put on ripped black jeans with a plane shirt and black Dr. Martens. I put my hair in a ponytail and did some natural looking make up. "I'm ready. I'll meet you at yours in 10." I texted to Ally.

"Hey Wren can I get your car keys? I'm going to this new bar that just opened with Ally and her boyfriend." I said when I got downstairs. "Yes sure. Drive safe please. I don't want anything to happen to my car." I gave him the 'are you serious' look. "Ha ha. Not because you care about me." I said sarcastic. He laughed. "I was joking." I shook my head and went got outside to go to Ally's.

Ally and Kyle got in the car and we drove to the bar. It was a 15 minute drive. We finally arrived and went inside. There were a lot of people. Guys and girls. Mostly 16+ We were one of the youngest. I looked around to check out the place. It looked nice. I saw a lot of familiar faces. People from school and people I just see around a lot. "Let's get something to drink." Ally said. I nodded and walked behind Kyle and Ally. I got the feeling I was gonna be third wheeling today but I didn't really care. We got something to drink and we sat by the bar. Kyle and Ally were doing their thing. They got up and went to the bathroom. I laughed and shook my head. I took a sip from my drink and someone sat next to me. "Hey." I recognized his voice and looked up. "Hey Alex." I said with a smile. "What are you doing here all by yourself?" He asked. "Well, I got here with my friend and her boyfriend but they went to the bathroom and you may guess what they are doing right now." I said laughing. He laughed too. "So you were third wheeling?" I nodded. "It's good that I'm here now to save you." He said. I giggled. "Thank you."

We ended up talking for a couple minutes. I saw Ally and Kyle walk up to us. Ally's hair looked messy and so did Kyle's. Me and Alex looked at each other and started laughing. "Ha Ha Ha. I know I look like a mess but I can't do anything about it right now and I don't really care. And who is this new guy?" Ally asked. "This is Alex. I met him a couple days ago." I introduced him to Ally and Kyle.

We spent a little more time at The Firestone and me, Ally, Kyle and Alex got in my car. I dropped off Ally and Kyle and me and Alex went to my house.

We were about to enter my house till I heard someone. "Hey!" We turned around and saw Grayson. He looked annoyed. Probably because I was about to get in my house with another guy. "Hey Grayson." I said. He walked up to us and looked at Alex full of disgust which was pretty un respectful. "Who is this?" Grayson asked. "This is Alex. We met a couple days ago." I answered. "What are you two thinking you're gonna do?" He asked still annoyed. "We wanted to go inside."

"That's not happening." Grayson got closer. "Why not?"

"There is no way he is getting in your house with you." I rolled my eyes. "Is that your boyfriend?" Alex asked. "No?!" I said. "We had sex yesterday." Grayson said. "W-woah. I-I'm leaving. Bye Nina." Alex said shocked and walked away still looking at us. I sighed. "Alex wait-" he already walked away and I looked at Grayson. "Weren't you supposed to do something?" I asked. "Yes but I saw you with him about to get in your house and I couldn't let that happen."

"Grayson, we're not dating. Okay? Let me hang out with who the fuck I wanna hang out. Me and Alex are friends. Not more. What were you doing today actually? You were so mysterious about it." I said. "Nothing! Okay. You don't have to know."
