Chapter 3

(Pov Nina)
I sat in the car with Grayson. We were talking a bit. When we arrived at my house he parked his car. "Thanks for the ride." I smiled at him. "No problem. Can i call you tonight?" He asked. "Yea sure." Grayson gave me a smile. I climbed out of the car. "Bye." I said and closed the door. I walked to my front door. Why is he being nice? "Hey." I said when i dropped my keys on the table and walked into the living room. "Hey. Where have you been?" Wren asked when he stood up. "I had detention." He gave me a weird look. "Wait what? So you, Nina, had detention?" I nodded my head. "Why?" He asked. "Because i was on my phone during the lessons."

"Were you alone?"

"No. I was with Grayson."

"Did he drag you into this?"

"Eh, no." I lied. "And who's car was that?"

"Graysons. He gave me a ride." I answered. "But you said you weren't friends." He said. "Why are you asking so much?" "Because i want to know who that Grayson kid is." "He's just a guy from school." "Just a guy? Nothing more?" "Nothing more Wren." I said laughing. He laughed and i walked to my room.

I threw my bag on my bed and lay on my bed. It was 6pm.

A few minutes later i walked downstairs for dinner. My parents came home so we were all having dinner together. "So how was school?" My dad asked. "Good. I had an A on my math test." They smiled at me. My phone started to vibrate. I looked at my screen and saw an unknown number. I gave a weird look. "Who is it?" My mum asked. "Eh, i don't know." I answered. I picked up. "Hello?" I said. "Hey it's grayson." I heard. "Ohw hey Grayson. Can u call you back in a few minutes because im having dinner now." I laughed. "Oh yea sure sorry." He said. "It's fine. Bye." "Bye." My parents and wren were looking at me. "What?" I asked laughing. "Do you have a boyfriend?" My dad asked. "What? No! He's not my boyfriend." I said laughing. I ate my spaghetti and walked upstairs. I walked into my room and closed my door. I grabbed my phone and called Grayson back.

G: hey

N: hey

G: i thought you would never call back haha

N: haha no i'm not that kind of person

G: good

N: I bet you're smirking right now

G: you got that right

N: i'm so good

G: haha. So what's up?"

N: nothing much. Gonna take a shower in a couple minutes. You?

G: same. Maybe we can shower together.

N: Grayson stop. You're not funny.

G: i'm not joking.

N: i swear stop it! I laughed.

G: okay okay.

N: grayson?

G: yes?

N: why are you being nice?

G: what do you mean?

N: well. You always like.. Hated me.

G: i didn't..

N: you sure?

G: i never wanted to treat you like that.

N: then why did you do that?

G: because of Ethan.

N: what's with Ethan?
