Chapter 19

(POV NINA)
Grayson walked up to me with the keys. God bless him. Right when he unlocked the handcuffs I saw the devil. "Stay right where you are." He said and held up his gun. God why do those guns have to be involved every time. Grayson turned around to face Nate. Nate didn't know I was released from the cuffs already. "What's up Nate." Grayson said and smiled. Nate rolled his eyes. "You're coming to get your girl?" Nate asked. "Yea actually I really wan- NINA RUN!" Grayson yelled and as soon as he did that he hit Nate in his face so I got the time to get out through the window. I ran up to Grayson's car and opened the door.

(POV GRAYSON)
As soon as I yelled that Nina had to run I hit Nate in his face to distract him. He quickly reacted and hit me back on my jaw. I kicked him in his stomach what caused him to fall down on the floor. I grabbed his gun and pointed mine and his at him. Nate was laying on the ground totally hopeless. For a finish touch I kicked him in his face. He blacked out and I ran up to the window and crawled through. I got in my car. Nina was already sitting in the passenger seat. I fastened my seatbelt. "Do you have your seatbelt on?" I asked Nina. She looked at me. "No." "Put it on." She did what I said. When she was done I drove off on high speed. I drove a 100 miles per hour in a 55 zone. I turned to the right. "Grayson! You can't take a turn like that in that much speed!" Nina said while holding on to the handle. In less than 15 minutes we arrived at my place. I grabbed the two guns and gave one to Nina. She looked at me with widened eyes. "Take it." I said. "Gray I d-" I cut her off. "Take the damn gun." I said abrupt. She didn't expect me to react like that but she took the gun from me anyway. I held the other gun in my hand as I locked the car and walked into the building with Nina while looking around me.

(POV NINA)
Grayson gave me a fucking gun. I don't even know how this works. I just took the gun from him. He locked his car and we walked into his building. I felt his hand on my lower back as he lead me in. Grayson kept looking around him to be sure no one followed us.

"Gray, is your brother home?" I asked as we arrived at their front door. "Yea probably." He said and searched for his keys. "Is he gonna be okay with me coming in the house?" I asked. "I don't really care what he thinks right now." He opened the door and we walked in. "You must be hungry." Grayson said. As he said that I then realized how hungry I actually was. "Yea I am. I really want to take a shower too if that's okay."

"Yea of course. You can go take a shower and I'll prepare some food for you."

"Thanks Gray." I walked to his bathroom and got undressed. I turned on the shower and stepped under the hot water. Wow this felt so good. I washed my hair using Grayson's shampoo not caring that it was for men. I really don't have a choice right now. I then washed my body with his body wash. It smelled really good anyway.

When I was done I got out and took a towel to wrap around my body. Then I took another one for my hair. I put my hair up in the towel and walked to the living room. "What can I wear?" I asked Grayson. "Oh yea of course, clothes." I laughed a little and followed him to his room. He gave me a hoodie and shorts and he then sat on his bed. "Do you have any underwear I can borrow?" I asked giggling. "Oh right. Sorry." He softly laughed and gave me a clean pair of boxers. "Thanks." I smiled and walked to the bathroom to change into his freshly washed clothes.

I went to sit down next to Grayson on his bed. "I don't know how to thank you Gray." I said and looked in his eyes. "Nina, your face. I'm just seeing it right now." He said and he brought his hand to my face. He stroke my swollen under eye gently. "I know." I said and looked down. He put his finger under my chin to lift up my head. He looked me in the eyes. "I was so worried. I'm so so so sorry you had to be in this situation. It's all my fault. I'm so stupid. I need you to forgive me. You've done good to me only. You've treated me like no other girl ever had. Nina I-"

"Gray, you've saved me from those ignorant horrible people. Look what they've done to me. It could've been worse if you didn't save me." I placed my hand on his cheek. He was looking down at his hands. "Gray look at me." I said while searching for his eyes. He then looked at me. I pulled him closer and kissed his lips. A few seconds later I pulled back. "Grayson.." I said and tucked at the bottom of the hoodie. "What is it?" He asked and placed his hand on my thigh squeezing it a little. "Did you kill Nate's guys?" I asked softly. Grayson opened his mouth trying to say something but nothing came out. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. "Nina.." He said and took a deep breath. He tilted my head and wiped away my tears. "Nina, listen to me. I didn't kill the guys. I promise you. I didn't kill them." Grayson said. I was confused. "But, but Nate said you killed two of his guys." Grayson looked down. "No, but someone else did." He said. I furrowed. "Who did?" I asked. "N-no it doesn't matter who did it."

"Grayson, it does fucking matter. Tell me who killed the guys!" Grayson kept quiet. "It was you, wasn't it?" I said after a while of silence. "No! I already told you it wasn't me!" He said and sighed deeply. "It was my brother. Ethan killed them. But he did it to save me!" Grayson added. "E-Ethan killed the guys?" I asked while being in a shock. Grayson nodded and avoided eye contact. I didn't know what to do. I was confused and scared and shocked. I couldn't stay in the same house as a murderer. My head felt light and dizzy. I stood up to leave the room. "Nina!" Grayson said and followed me. "No, no Grayson I can't. I can't." A walked to the living room. Right when turned around I saw him. Ethan was standing there. "What is going on?" He asked while being confused and sleepy. "No, no, no get away from me. Get-away from me." I said and pointed at him. Ethan walked up to me to calm me down. "No! I SAID GET AWAY FROM ME!" I yelled. He tried to grab my arm but I resisted. He grabbed both my arms and i tried to push him away from me. "LEAVE ME ALONE YOU FUCKING PSYCHO!" I tried to push him off of me as hard as I could but he kept holding me. "Sshhh stop. Calm down alright I won't hurt you!" Ethan said while trying to put me on the couch. "Grayson a little help would be nice." Ethan said to his brother. Grayson pulled Ethan away from me and Grayson grabbed my arms so I couldn't move. "Nina, Nina look at me, look at me.. look at me Nina." Grayson said. Tears were streaming down my face. "Nina, I know you're scared. I know what you've been through will haunt you for god knows how long. I know you don't trust anyone right now. I know you're afraid of getting hurt again. But I swear Nina, I swear I will protect you from anything. I know Ethan isn't your best friend, I know you're not his but he would never ever ever in his life hurt someone innocent alright. And I know that, because he's my brother. Please calm down. I know he killed those guys. He did it to protect me. It was those guys or it was gonna be me. Ethan saved my life okay? Without him shooting those guys I probably wouldn't even be here right now. So please Nina, don't leave this building until I find a way to keep you save alright? Please." Grayson wiped away my tears with his thumb. Ethan was just standing there staring at what the fuck he just woke up to. I didn't know what to say. I just bursted into tears again. Grayson pulled me into a tight hug and stroke my hair. "It's gonna be okay. I promise you. No one will hurt you or lay a hand on you alright? As long as you're with me you'll be safe." He pressed a kiss on my head. I heard Ethan clear his throat. We pulled away from the hug and I saw Ethan walk up to me. He noticed I got scared when he came closer so he held his hands in the air. "I won't do anything i swear."
