"Come on, Lestat. Snap out of it!" Lora shakes my shoulder. "Just leave me alone right now, Lora." I say, pushing her hands off my shoulders. "Sire? There's someone here to see you." My servant, Sebastian, tells me. I look at the boy who I have known my whole life. He and Blair were best friends when they were young. "No." I simply say, getting pissed off. "Sire. She says it's very important." Sebastian tells me, walking out again. I sigh and stand up from behind my desk. I walk out after Sebastian into the waiting parlor. "Who dares to interrupt my work?" I snarl. "Umph." I have the breath knocked out of me as someone launched themselves at me. "Lestat!" I hear a familiar voice say my name. I look down at the girl in my arms, who has black hair so much like father's. "Blair?" I struggle to say the name of my baby sister. The girl in my arms looks up at me and I recognize the pale blue eyes of my baby sister. "Blair! It is you!" I say, hugging her tighter. "Lestat!" She repeats, snuggling closer. "Blair...." I repeat, shocked that my sister was here, in my home and my arms. "Lestat? Can I live with you from now on? At least until I can get my own home?" Blair asks me, letting me go. "O-Of course, Blair. You're welcomed here anytime." I tell her, looking at her, still shocked she was here. "Thank you, big brother." She says, hugging me again. "Lestat? Who's here?" I hear Lora ask me. I turn towards her, still hugging my baby sister. "Lora? Bring Rose here. I do believe it's time for her to meet her Aunt." I tell my wife. She nods her head and disappears. "Aunt? I'm an Aunt?" I hear Blair ask me. I turn back towards her and nod my head. "Yes. You're an Aunt. I have a daughter, Blair. She was born a vampire, like you and me. She's nine years old. Once she reaches sixteen, she will stop growing." I tell her. "Daddy? What did you need?" I hear my little girl ask me. I go to her and pick her up. "Rose? Do you remember how I told you I had a sister, but I lost her?" I ask her. She nods her head, her eyes curious. "Well, I have found her again. She was like you and me, but she was turned into a human. But she's going to become a vampire again." I tell her, walking back to Blair. "Where are you going with this, Daddy? And who's this?" Rose asks me, looking at Blair. "This, dear Rose, is your Aunt Blair. My lost sister." I reveal to my daughter. Her eyes grow wide. "This is the one who was turned into a human?" She snarls. I nod my head, a little bit confused at her tone. "Blair? Would you like to become a vampire again?" Lora asks Blair, walking up to her and taking her hand. "Yes, I would." Blair says to Lora, while looking at Rose. "Lestat? Would you like to turn her back?" Lora asks me. I nod my head and, putting Rose down, walk over to my sister. "It might hurt for an instant, Blair, and you'll need to feed immediately after." I tell her. She nods her head. I bend her head to the side and strike. She gasps and clutches Lora's hand tighter. The venom in my fangs immediately flood her systems and begins the change. I take my fangs out of my sister's neck and bite my wrist. I push my wrist to my sister's mouth and say, "Drink, Blair! It's the only way to complete the change." Blair latches her mouth onto my bleeding wrist and drinks my blood. She releases and opens her eyes. They are blood red. Blair opens her mouth and feels her returning fangs. "Thank you so much, Lestat!" Blair says, launching herslef into my arms again. "LEt's go hunting as a family!" Lora suggests, her eyes falshing red. "I'll stay here, mommy. I might fight with Aunt Blair for our food." My daughter says harshly, walking out. I watch after her, surprised at her harsh tone. "Let me go talk to her." Lora says. "No. Let me. I want to get to know her better." Blair says, walking out after Rose. "Blair! You need to feed NOW!" I say, walking after her. She sighs and says, "Fine. But I still want to get to know my niece better." "And you will. AFTER you have fed." I tell my sister, grabbing her hand and leading her outside. We take off in search of prey.
