"Blair. Come back soon." I hear someone say in my head. Tears instantly start welling in my eyes. "Lestat. I'm sorry, brother." I whisper, wiping the tears from my eyes. "BLAIR!" I hear someone scream my name. I look up to see Evan running towards me. "Evan?" I whisper, a little dazed. He hugs me and kisses me on the lips. My eyes widen. "Evan? What was that for?" I ask as soon as he had let me breathe. "Where the hell were you? I was so worried!" Evan asks me, pulling me into a tight hug. "Evan! Let go!" I yell at him. He lets me go and stares at me. "Why did you just yell at me?" He asks, startled and hurt. I sigh and grab his hand and lead him up to our room. "Look. I'm sorry I yelled at you, but I just had the worst experience of my life. I killed Dimitri and-" "You killed Dimitri? Blair, I'm so sorry." Evan interrupts me. "Damn it, Evan! I wasn't finished!" I snap at him again. "Oh. Sorry." He mutters. I sigh again and run my hand through my hair. "Listen, okay?" I ask him. He nods his head silently. I take a deep breath and continue, "So, I had killed Dimitri and I came out of the building I was in with him and I saw my true brother, Lestat. He carried me up to our father and we talked. I'm sorry, Evan, but I'm leaving the Slayer's Society." I finish. "What!? Why?" Evan asks me. "Because I'm a fucking vampire, too, Evan! Fuck! If the Slayer Society finds out, shit's going to go down! They will all try to kill me, Evan!" I scream at him, getting angry. I pick up my clothes and stuff them into my duffle bag. I zip it up and sling it onto my back. I turn around, ready to leave, when Evan crushes his lips to mine. I struggle and he finally lets me go. "You dumb-ass! I'm a fucking vampire! I could have fucking killed you!" I scream at him, pushing him away. "You could have. But you didn't, Blair. What are you going to tell your sister?" He asks me, referring to Sky. "She's not my sister! She's fucking human! I'm not!" I say, pushing past him. I run out of the hotel and away, heading in the direction I know Lestat and my father had taken. I manage to catch up with my father, but Lestat is nowhere to be found. "Blair? What is wrong? Is everything alright?" I hear my father's voice above me. I don't answer him, just walk inside the hotel.
