It's been 5 days since Christmas and we were going to the pack camp to celebrate New Years. It took a lot of convincing and "buts" for Elias to make me come with him, and I did say yes eventually. His father seems like a nice guy as he describes him, but his mom expected a lot from me which makes me nervous. What if I'm not extraordinary enough to meet her standards?

I was kind of frightened at the fact she might not welcome me, but Elias told me I should stay calm because it doesn't matter.

"What's on your mind?" Elias asked behind me. I was packing my bags. We leave tonight and won't come back for another 3 days.

"What's the camp like?" I turned around, gave him a peck on the lips and grabbed the clothes I needed.

“Loud, dark, relaxing.” He said. I couldn’t help but smile when he wrapped his hands on my waist while I folded my clothes. His head was on my shoulder, giving light kisses on my neck.

“Loud and relaxing?” I raised my eyebrows. I felt him nod on my shoulder.

“We have bonfires when we welcome someone to the pack. There’s stories and fun things we do.” He grinned.

I laughed. “Like killing animals?” I said smirking.

“That’s fun too, but no. We have barbecues.” He said.

Barbecues. Werewolves eat barbecues. I laughed, then turned serious.

“Yum.” I said, giggling.  Elias laughed, obviously reading my mind, then spun me around. His hands were tight on my hips. He gave me a kiss and I kissed him back. His tongue slid over my lips and we fought for dominance. Obviously, he won.

“We leave in an hour.” He whispered, his voice trailing off from the room. My cheeks turned red and I couldn’t help but smile. He was sweet.

I finished packing in 15 minutes, and I made sure all appliances were unplugged. I locked my door and once I got outside, Martin was there with only a shirt on.

“Where do I sign up to be a werewolf so I can wear a tank top in the middle of winter?” I joked, rolling my eyes playfully. I saw Elias shake his head and chuckled.

“It’s not that easy,” Martin smiled. “and I’ll take that.” He said, taking my bag and slung it over his shoulders like it was a school bag. His muscles flexed. I thanked him, then followed Elias to the driveway. I was confused. We’re taking a car to the woods? Aren’t we walking or something?

“We’re going for a ride.” Elias said, as If reading my mind. When we reached the pavement, there was a black motorcycle parked at the side.  It was shiny and looked brand new. There was a silver emblem right on the side. It was a face of a wolf. It shone from the light and sparkled.

“Woah.” I breathed out. Elias grinned and helped me climb on the massive bike.

“I’ve had this baby for a year.” Elias looked at me and smiled. “Uh-uh.” I nodded, giving him a look. He laughed at my remark and gave me a red helmet.

He wore a black helmet with fire stickers or paintings- I couldn’t tell. Once we were done with safety equipment, he turned the key and the bike roared. It was loud. I wrapped my hands around Elias’ hips. I felt him tighten his muscles but then relaxed. We sped away in seconds.

My hair flew everywhere, and I thanked god I had a helmet on. Having a bad hair when meeting Elias’ parents wouldn’t be a good combination. I wanted to show a good impression.

We drove around the town and towards the path that led the woods. On the highway, there were trees around it as if hiding the road. It must be an isolated place so we-mortals- couldn’t pass. There were fences and fates around when we got deeper down the road.
