Hey guys! Vote and comment what you think! :)

So yesterday, my mom rushed to the pet store to buy 3 bags of dog food. And I'm
not talking about small bags. I mean SACKS of dog food that would probably last for a year. She also bought a frisbee and some balls and treats. Apollo was persistent on eating when I first fed him. I think he's never had dog food before since he's a wolf and eats deer or something.  Luckily, the first bag of dog food was pure beef and didn't have any artificial crap. When I told him to eat, he stared at me, laid down in front of the dish, and ate slowly, as if taking the bits one by one.

"Okay, Apollo. Lets play frisbee." I said, walking outside my house. We had a pretty big house, for a family of 3.... well, 4 now. We had a good field. I think our backyard is the size of half a football field. We didnt have a fence, so a few meters from the backdoor was a trail leading to the woods. The nature park is down that area, so it's a pretty safe forest.

I had a handful of treats stuffed in my pocket. It was kind of weird since Apollo kept nuzzling against my pocket.

"If you get the frisbee, I'll give you a treat." I told the dog, who looked like he didn't understand me. "What, do you speak french?" I gave him a look. Apollo stared at me and sat down. "Fetch!" I threw the frisbee across the yard. Apollo, who just stared at the disc as it landed on the green grass, just sat beside me. "You suck." I mumbled, running towards the disc. Apollo ran and followed me. When I was about to grab the frisbee, Apollo took it by his mouth and ran away.

"You little bi..." I would've said he was a bitch but then he was a male dog, so calling him a bitch won't really do anything.

I walked towards Apollo and grabbed the disc. What an intense game of tug-of-war. It took a while for me to get a hold of the disc since he had a good grip on it. I threw it again across the yard and finally, Apollo ran and almost caught it, but failed. I laughed. He gave me a look like he was going to eat me, but he didn't show his teeth.

I opened my pocket to grab a treat. It was a chewy bacon strip for dogs. "Here, boy." I said, holding my hand out. He didn't bite my hand, thank god. While he was chewing on the bacon strip, I ran towards the disc and Apollo started running towards me. When he didn't stop running, I backed away. He looked like he was going to pounce on me any minute. I ran in circles around the yard. He was chasing me! I stopped for a breath and Apollo was still running towards me.

He jumped and probably expected me to catch him like I was his knight in shining armour. Too bad, because he was probably the size of a big St. Bernard. I fell onto the ground as Apollo ran away, barking. "What a jerk." I mumbled, getting up and brushed my pants off, picking on the grass that got stuck.

When I finished, Apollo was laying down a few feet from me, the disc was beside him. We kept playing for the rest of the day. My mom stepped outside wearing coveralls. "We have to leave tonight for a big meeting in the site. They found something." Mom said, walking towards me. I was used to them being away and I'm glad they bought dog food for me so I wouldn't have to carry those thousand-pound bags.

"Are you gonna be okay with Apollo?" Dad said, stepping out of the door and looked over at my dog. Apollo was now chasing a bird that was flying around the yard.

"I'll be fine. The guy working in the shelter, Martin, can help me if something goes wrong. But I'll be good like always." I assured them. Dad nodded, giving me a hug. "We're only 3 hours away from the area so give us a call if you need us. I left money in the kitchen if you want to order take out or pizza." Mom said. Dad was still hugging me and gave me a pat in the back.

"I left extra cash without her knowing." Dad whispered in my ear. I smiled. Dad was always the best!

"Thank you." I whispered back when Mom wasn't looking. "Alright, see you in a few weeks. Maybe we'll come back if we can." Dad said.

"You behave yourself, Apollo!" Dad pointed at my dog, who turned to dad and looked at him for a few seconds before chasing the bird again. Thankfully, the bird managed to fly away.

"Take care!" Mom said and went back inside. I heard the car turn on, and soon enough, my parents were gone.

"Come here, boy!" I called out Apollo after a few minutes. It was intruiging watching him play on his own. Apollo howled then ran towards me. The door was still open and I stepped inside. It was quiet since my parents were already gone. Apollo was just behind me. "Time for dinner." I whispered, walking to the kitchen where the bag of dog food is. I grabbed a bowl and filled it with food, placing them on Apollo's dish.

Apollo ate faster than earlier. I walked over to my fridge, opening it and grabbing some watermelon mom sliced this morning. I wasn't hungry so I decided to just eat watermelons. Apollo looked at me, staring blankly. "What?" I said. Watermelon juice dripped out of my mouth when I opened to speak. Apollo looked away and continued eating. I finished eating about 5 slices of watermelon and I placed them back in the fridge.

It was already 9 o' clock in the evening and I wasn't tired, so I decided to take a bath. My parents had a huge tub in their room and I thought of staying there for a few minutes and relax. I took my speakers and MP3 player. I was about to walk out of my room when I saw Apollo beside my door. He was just sitting there, behaving. I thought about how old he must be, since he's not really cheerful or energetic like puppies. He didn't seem to care that I was naked under my towel and he just jumped to my bed and laid down. "I'm gonna take a bath. Stay." I held a finger at Apollo, who just gave me a look and placed his head on my pillow. He looked adorable, for a wolf.

The tub was filled with hot water after 10 minutes and I put some vanilla-scented bubble bath in. It smelt really good and when I started to relax, I heard Apollo howl. He wouldn't stop so I stood up and half dried myself, wrapping my mom's bath robe around me and a towel wrapped around my hair. I walked to my room and found Apollo by my window, howling. He stopped and looked behind him, where I stood.

"What?" I asked in an annoyed tune. He looked at me and his gaze turned back to the window, howling. I walked beside him and found a few dogs on the ground from my window.

Those weren't dogs. They were wolves. Just like Apollo, I thought.

"Are they your...pack?" I asked Apollo, even though he couldn't speak or understand. Apollo looked at me and looked back at the window. I thought maybe they were going to attack me. I started regretting adopting a wolf. I could've gotten a golden retriever instead, or a pug.

I can hear the other wolves howling as well and it got to the point where it annoyed me, so I went downstaits, with Apollo following me, and I opened the back door. Apollo immediately ran outside with his 'pack' and they all ran into the woods. I sighed, going back to my parents' bathroom and bathed.

It took me 20 minutes, since I relaxed a bit and just enjoyed the peace and quiet in the house. When I finished, I went downstairs wearing my pajamas. Apollo hasn't returned yet. I opened the back door and looked out. No sign of dog or wolf.

"Apollo!" I shouted. Still no response. I decided to leave the back door open, just a little bit. It's a stupid move but nobody really goes on the back side of the house so I didn't give any shit.

I looked at the wall clock in the living room and it says 10:40pm. As if on cue, a yawn escaped my mouth. I went back to my room, leaving the door open as I usually do, and shut the lights off. Halfway through my attempt to drift to a dreamless sleep, I heard a door close and footsteps.

Human footsteps. I shivered at the thought that another human being is in my house. Shit! I never should have opened the door! Now I'm gonna get raped and die!

I covered my whole body from head to toe in my blanket. I hear footsteps getting louder and my legs were getting sweaty from shaking. After a few seconds, I felt a pressure on my bed and I head a light thump. It was Apollo laying down on my bed. He didn't sound like a dog walking, with his claws clicking on the wooden floor. It was human. And I was positive it was.

Apollo was already sleeping, I think, and I put my arms around him, feeling his warmth and fluffiness. Slowly, I drifted to  sleep.

It wasn't dreamless.

I dreamt of Apollo.
