Eric looked over at me and said "No, not right now when we get to the camp site, ok?" By the sound of his voice I could tell he was still trying to get me to relax.
"Ok, I just need to breathe and I'll be fine."I said trying to convince myself I was alright. I took a deep breath and started to relax.
"You okay now?" Eric asked, concern colored his voice. I took in another deep breath and counted to ten, I let it out and felt fine; well not fine but better.
I nodded my head and said "Yeah, I'm ok. Sorry about that, I just can't help it." Then I looked down at my watch and asked "how long till we get there?"
"In about five minutes." He said and then looked over at me and asked "Are you sure you're alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said sort of annoyed.
He looked me over and said "Okay."
I looked out the window and watched the trees blur by. Everything was wet and dripping, but as Eric said; the sprinkling didn't last and there were no clouds in sight. After a while of looking out the window, Eric started to slow down. Then we stopped all together. I turned and looked out the windshield and saw Katlynn there wrestling with the tent, near a really big pine tree. She looked up and lifted her right hand to wave but then something happened and the tent bounced up knocking her down in the process.
I couldn't help but laugh. I turned to Eric who was laughing too and asked "will you set up the tent before you leave?"
He looked over at me and said "Okay, do want me to do it now or watch Katlynn some more?"
I paused for a moment and said "now, I don't want her to hurt herself."
He laughed and said "okay" he opened his door and got out to go help Katlynn. I opened my door and went to the trunk to get my stuff.
Eric came jogging over laughing with Katlynn right behind him hitting his back.
"What did he do?" I asked Katlynn in a joking voice.
" I swear, if you guys came ten minutes later I would have already had that tent put up!" she said trying to Deffand herself. I looked at Eric and raised an eyebrow.
"She's mad because I could sit up the tent, and she couldn't." he said between chuckles.
Katlynn said"I had it sit up just fine, all he did was-"
"Was make it useable." Eric said interrupting her.
She glared at him and said "we could have used it."
Eric rolled his eyes and said "yeah sure you could of."
Katlynn ignored him and asked me"what do we do first?"
"I don't know." I said and then added "when Eric leaves we could sit in the tent and tell ghost stories or something."
Eric looked at his watch and asked "it's time for me to go, Allie do you have your cell with you?"
"Yep right here in my pocket, I'll call you in a little bit after all the ghost stories."I said popping the 'P' in yep.
"Ok bye, love you." He leaned down and gave me a peck on the cheek.
"Bye love you too" I stood on my tip toes trying to give him a kiss on the cheek but he was too tall. I huffed out a breath and said "get down here so I can kiss you."
He laughed and leaned down so I could reach him. Just when I was about to kiss him he turned his head so I would have to kiss him on the lips. It was a quick peck. He leaned back and chuckled, I couldn't help but giggle.
